Protien useage

How long does the body keep protien before it discharges it unused?

If i wanted to consume 250 grams a day, but knew one day I wouldnt be able to, could I eat 500 grams the day before and still be able to use all of that protien or would my body get rid of it before my muscles could break it down?

I know that you can't do that, but don't technically know why. I bet macro will have a technical answer that cannot be understood., and I bet Ulter will have something from the AF store to help digest it. LOL
(just kidding, love you guys)

Nah, I don't believe you can do that. If you are in a caloric excess, what's most likely to happen is the extra protein would be metabolized into glycogen/fat and stored.

the rest would probably be pissed out

Well I was hoping I could just have about 5 scoops of protien added to one of the smoothieking smoothies and make it about 400 calories and be good for 2 days...of course that would be to easy

You would shit your face off and have alot of GI distress if you are not used to that amount of protein intake.

Your kidneys will also be unhappy with you...

Bro, Isopure has 50 grams protein in two scoops, you can bang that down once in the morning and once at night and there is 100 grams. Don't tell me you can't do that !!!!

Well, trust me...the last thing I ever want to do is shit my face off.

But does anyone know how long protien will actually stay in the body?

It depends on the type of protein you are ingesting. Isolates are broke down by the body very quickly and then there is casein which is broken down very slowly due to the fact that it clots in your stomach. So Isolates during the day and casein at night will give you a steady stream of protein throughout the day. Your body will store excess protein as fat.
