pre-workout shake (Mr. X, bloodrinker help!)

Hi guys, this is a very old thread, I know, but -hey- that's what happens when you use the SEARCH function...

lots and LOTS of good information.

So, here's the question (or rather several questions):

after your workout is where u pile in the simple sugars as well as about 40g of protein.

1.) Is it pretty much universally accepted that in order to build muscle, the idea is a POST WORKOUT protein shake?

2.) What is this about simple sugars? I thought a zero sugar diet is what I needed. Doesn't sugar supress natural test production?

3.) Is the sugar added, or is this just some protein powders that HAVE SUGAR in it?

I never heard of this before, so I'm thinking this has to do with the production of insulin as a response to a sugar blast after a workout.

Seriously, thanks for any responses on this- as I'm hungry to learn. Genuine muscle gains come VERY slow for me, so I'm trying to figure out all the places I'm fkuced up.
