Pec Muscle Question

have any of you had the problem where there is a relatively large gap between the two pectorial muscles?

For some reason i have this gap and i want to try and close it but my normal chest routine of bench press/dummbell press, incline press and dips doesnt really seem to add alot of muscle in the inner pectorial region rather just mid and outer.

So any ideas on how to accomplish a completely filled out pec muscle that connects with the one next to it?
Or is it just the genetics i will be stuck with?

When you flex and feel the center of your chest, do you feel any muscle tightening? If so, you can always make it bigger, but if you dont feel any tightening, you probaly just have a genetic predisposition to have some space inbetween.

As for building up the inner part. I have always found that flat dumbbell press gives me a tremendous squeeze in the center. As for whether or not this means that muscle will be bigger in the center??? NOt sure.

At least you aren't my friend who is missing one of his pectoral muscles.

Anyway, I'd imagine what you're talking about is just how you'll have to live. The pecs attach to the sternum at whatever point on you, which is probably what makes the 'gap' you're speaking of.

The bigger you get your pecs the less that will be noticeable, mine were like that too but you cant tell anymore

Its only because you are flexing in your picture....;)

The more muscle you put on the less it will be noticeable though, it is just a genetic trait you have on where your pec originates on the strenum

yeah i guess.

Sort of the same situation where people tend to have a gap in between there bicep and elbow.

Someone told me that cable crossovers are good to develop the inner chest especially when your cross your hands over. Is this true?

Nope. Looks like genetics man. Build up your pecs. That's all you can do.
