Peanuts

Just wanted to ask a few questions in regards to peanuts (raw peanuts, with a hard shell).

Is it okay to eat peanuts when dieting? What's the advantage/disadvantage?

Will eating moderate amounts of peanuts, along with healthy eaiting and drinking help a lot with respect to loosing weight?

Any thoughts, would be appreciated. Thanks.

I like raw almonds, walnuts, peanuts but man they have a lot of cals when trying to diet but good fats. I believe 1 cup of walnuts has like 800 cals and 80g fats. If the cals and fats add up for you then go for it. I don't eat them as much when dieting due to the cals and just go for the oils like flax and fish.

Peanuts, walnuts and almonds are all fine to take in when dieting. Good sources of EFA's. As long as you don't go over your caloric maintenence level for the day and you can fit them into your diet then you're good to go. :)
