The point of the article is not to go off on women and how they're trying to screw over men.

The point is to highlight that the legal system DOES NOT FAVOR MEN. If you're a man, playing the odds, assuming you don't have a prenup it is likely you will get screwed in a divorce.

All this matt guy is saying is that if our society chides men for avoiding marriage maybe it should improve the odds of success, or at least limit the potential damage should a divorce occur.

I'm saying that's not the way divorce laws should work. Not that your mom isnt entitled to that under the law.

for the most part we agree on marriage, that you should enter it like you enter an agreement with roommates. I particularly like the idea of renewing the agreement every 5 years.

I know a guy, he comes home, all furniture is gone, kids gone, bank account plundered and then a divorce. The woman also wanted half of the house plus alimony. Now the guy lives in a frigging caravan. This is just one case of men robbing, I know more of them.

Don't give in, ive been asked to marry 3 times now, and it aint happening precisly because of the reasons given in this thread. Im not going to follow like a sheep and get married just because society says I should.

Bors you have two choices:

you are generalizing, my friend. women are not always the victors- my mom ended up paying through the nose even though my step dad was an achoholic wife/child beater with a record. there are just as many dead beat dads out there, be it during the marriage or after, as there are spiteful bitches with no legitimate complaints other than their fickle feelings.
