As a wedding photographer....I can assure everybody that many dads are ecstatic to hear that some guy is taking their daughter off of their hands and away.

depends on the father and the family, if his daughter is independent and has a good head on her shoulders the father has nothing to worry about regarding his daugther marrying earlier or later on!

if the father is poor then ofcourse he wants his girl to be taken care of by someone who is earning more money that is why he is ecstatic, however i have met many people who were absolutely dissapointed with the choice of their daughter's partner ... .....consequently disowning them and therefore some marriage problems...

Ezactly what does have a high success rate. 95% of all new businessess fail....does that mean that we should all pounce on threads that diss having a business?

I think we all be better off if we quit thinking that a divorce means that the marriage was a disaster. and a terrible idea. Perhaps we should realize that very few things last for more than 10 years.

What have you enjoyed for 10 years straight? Other than lifting?

otoh......the fact that guys get financially slaughtered is horrible. I am sure that increases the divorce rate by itself. A woman can ask for a divorce and keep the house....it is almost automatic.

I do not resapect divorced women who tell me that they have a house and I know it is simply because they got a divorce. If she did that to him.....she will do the same to others most likely.

Pretty sure he was referring to the dads that can't wait for some "guy" to foot his daughters bills for he doesn't have to anymore.

if he was talking about the guy footing the bill then that conveys a different message, i did not see the word bill in his message that is all....if he did then sorry!

It has been a good read and I appreciate everyone's opinion nevertheless.
