New deadlift PR

Ya, I'm doing the 5 x 5 right now. Though since I've been back I haven't squatted at all because I've been letting my knee rest. But I want to start again on monday.

Power shrugs for the traps, and pull through's to help at the top of the movement.

But I normally don't hitch when I pull. It just kind of happened, I feel it's part of a form issue.

Been working out since Jan 1st...

Body weight at the time: 165lbs

405 kicked my ass and my form was horrible, I know.

In the first vid, what the heck is that tool in the background doing (orange shirt) swinging around like that.

Loose the straps, try using chalk and mixed grip instead of the straps, you should be able to hold the weight and your grip will get stronger.

Also, try keeping your feet closer together and pull up and back, the bar should be in contact with your shins all the way up. You are standing up first and then pulling off the ground.

I pull more then U but my workouts don't work so U say...

Most of you know my back story, I was off for about a year after tearing my achilies. Started back in jan bla, bla, bla

Last night I figured I'd see what my max Deadlift is as part of a little deload this week.

BW in the morning is 185, I am carying a bunch of fat still though.

I pulled 455 for a new PR. No straps, no belt etc. Just some chalk.

Had a light hitch just before my knees, I know it wouldn't pass in competition because of this.

It's no record breaking lift by any standards, but a mini goal of mint.

My goal is 5 plates in 2 month's time, and then hopefully adding the 2.5's for 500 won't be a problem.

What are you trying to do here man? You are starting to troll these threads a little bit. Seriously, give it a rest. You don't need to start up a debate in every thread about your hindu squats, etc.

Lets see the video then. I can internet pull 800 for reps, but real life video doesn't lie.

I've been training for 3 month's, if you have been training longer I would hope you can pull more weight. Keep in mind I am 185lbs and never touched any AAS or even supplements.

How would I know what your workouts are? Why would I care. Are you really that starving for attention that you have to make up shit and post carp like that?

Lets see that vid, and not some other dudes youtube video, I want to see a current paper and say it's for EF to prove it's validity.

I like you e-stats as well , lol
Post the 455 video up

That tool in the background is one of my good buddies and you would be scared if you saw him in person. He is huge and cut and is completely natural. I dont know what he was doing though, lol.

I can pull just as much with chalk and mixed grip as i can with straps. I just didnt have chalk at the time. Why are you doubting my grip strength?

And about my form... Since those videos I have moved down a little in weight and started using correct form, doing the lift with my legs as much as my back instead of standing up and using all back.

What the heck is he doing swinging on the equipment like that? Looks like some kid playing around.

If you always use straps your grip strength will never develop. Most people don't realise how much they can hold with some chalk and mixed grip.
