Is their a legitimite reason that you can not bring chicken breasts, cottage cheese, vegies, protein shakes to work.
If you can't get your diet dialed in then there's not much you can do.
Totally agree, Nelson. Every time I have tried the cardio route I have failed to lose any noticeable weight, with the exception being when I ran 3 miles a day, 5 days a week for 3 months. No thanks to that shit.
Lifting hard and eating right is far, FAR more effective for me than cardio. Besides, my workouts *are* cardio- if I look at a heart rate monitor at any time during my workout it is in the fat-burning range, sometimes a bit higher. An hour or so of that 4-5 times a week will nuke the fat off you.
you need to be looking to drop 1-2 pounds per week, nothing more. If you drop too much too fast then you are losing muscle and thats not what you want.
Alright so the general response is just do some weight lifting instead of cardio? I have to run at least 3 miles 3 times a week in the mornings. The afternoon workout is generally up to me. I eat about the least I can without starving myself and I have always heard that having a fruit for a snack in between meals keeps up your meto. If I start the weight lifting Im guessing I should just try to maintain a good heart rate taking the necessary times between reps/sets?
