I would like to have some bbq for all the chicken i'm gonna be eatin and you can't get low carb/sugar free at the store anymore :(. So i guess i'll be making my own.
So, Now i need to know if anyone has any good ideas or recipes.

Thanks

bbq sauce is tricky, because you need ketchup + mollasses + other stuff that's not so good for a diet. lemme do some searching and see what I can come up with. I thought I had a recipe for it....

1 minced onion,
1 small can of tomato sauce,
2 cups of water,
¼ cup of apple cider vinegar (one with no sugar),
¼ cup of Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce, paprika,
chili powder,
cinnamon,
cloves,
salt and pepper all to taste.

Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Then lower the heat and simmer for around 15 minutes, or until it thickens.

--------

if you want sweeter sauce, add splenda or whatever sweetener after it's cooled. The ingredients with no measurement are to your taste. you have to experiment a little to get it just how you want it.

I found one at the store here that is calorie free, sugar free, fat free, carb free... pretty much nothing in it but a little bit of sodium and it tastes sooooooooo darn good. I think the brand is Walden Farms ... they have a TON Of salad dressings as well... chocolate dips.... everything sugar/cal/fat free :)

......$3.59 for a bottle... check any health food store. I found it at Schnucks :)

Thanks shortone! That sounds really really good. I will definitely make that ;)

I have seen the walden farms stuff, but i didn't see that at walmart yesterday. Maybe at my other grocery is where i've seen that name.
I'll look for it! WOuld be nice to have on hand for dipping.

You could always take a store premade BBQ sauce (like Hunts, etc) and thin it a bit with some veggie broth or Apple Cider Vinegar then maybe add some hot sauce.....
