Natty P-Butter/MRP - Shakes

Putting together a cutting diet and had two quick questions:

1) What the heck is Natty P-Butter? I love all natural P-Butter that I get at the grocery store. What is the difference? I realize TFA's are in the Jiff and Skippy brands, but not sure what Natty P-Butter is or where you get it?

2) Due to my schedule and travel, shakes become a fairly important component of my diet. I see people often refer to "protein shakes" in their diet plans. Are these generally MRP's such as Myoplex and Labrada Lean Body? or are they shakes that consist of Whey Protein and other things. Can someone please provide a breakdown on what a shake is??

Thanks for the assistance.

First ? got answered.
Second ?: All of the above and more. It really depends on personal preferences and dietary goals/needs. MRP's are great for an on the go meal, which will supply you with protein and carbs and some with fat(depending what brand) You should pay close attention what kind of carbs are in these mrps. Some may have too many simple sugars and not enough complex. When i substitute a shake(non pwo),with just protein and water, i either put ANPB or flax in it to have a protein/fat meal. Some times i will have a protein/water shake with complex carbs on the side(rice, yams). There are hundreds of ways to make shakes but you have to know exactly what your putting in them and for what reason(this will be based on your goals) and when your consuming the shakes.

Thanks for the responses.

Anyone with any experience with Labrada Lean Body shakes. They taste awfully good and seem to have a lot less carbs and sugars than Myoplex. They nutritional info on the back says 2gs of total fat (1g Saturated). Total Carbs of 12g....how do you tell what kind of carbs they are?? I know complex are best.

Lastly only 1g of sugar.

I realize that there are better options, but do to my schedule, an MRP is almost a necessity.

One other question....When people refer to a cup of Oatmeal...is that cooked or uncooked?

Thanks.
