My teenage son

Waiting until you are older to have sex is not a bad choice, but saying its sinful is just ignorant. Quit living off what your preacher/parents told you when you were a little kid, and research and study the bible more your self.

This is hilarious because you have no idea about me or my religious education and back ground.

You assume I just listen to the preacher, or go by what mommy and daddy said when I was little.

Kid, I am a religious instructor and spent 2 years of my life doing nothing but preaching full time, voluntarily, unpaid.

You think that having sex is marriage? And you try to use the bible to corroborate that?

That's ridiculous.

So, by your definition, having sex with one girl, and then having sex with another is adultery and you're under condemnation anyways.

The act of intercourse in any religious definition has never been defined as being synonymous with marriage, or atleast until I met you.

Put down the pipe...

If what I said is ridiculous your simply disagreeing with the scripture. All I listed was scriptures, what do you have to counter the verses I put up? They are plain as day in any bible you have. You didn't read what I posted about adultery correctly. Many people in the bible had multiple wives, this is why a man can spread his seed to many women but a woman can only have 1 seed. As long as the woman is not married than no acts of adultery are committed

Fornication had many meanings in the scriptures. It even referred to disloyalty to the nation an act of fornication.

Anyways, you can bring up all these alternate references of fornication you want(you are correct that adultery, prostitution, bestiality, pederasty, incest, etc. are forms of fornication) , the fact is that even in biblical hebrew, fornication was used to describe pre-marital sex.

Having intercourse before a recognized marriage is indeed fornication and is a sin according to scripture.

Saying that having pre-marital sex is marriage is ridiculous.

The verb "marry" by itself has several meanings. It can mean institutional marriage, it can mean to bring together, and it can also mean to physically attach to something.

What do you have to say to the verses I posted? About a prostitute and man lying together and two flesh becomes one? You cant deny that plainly states sex is marriage.

No, that is definitely not what it is saying.

The phrase "Two flesh become one" doesn't mean you become married to God by the act of intercourse.

1 Corinthians Chapter 7

1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. (Paul is referring to his celibacy)

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

(In other words, if you can't control your sexual urges, it's better that you get married than go to hell for having sex before you get married)
