My teenage son

Yes, I ferreal.

I'm "olde fashioned" I suppose. I believe fornication is wrong, and the whole societal mindset nowdays is that "it's going to happen, so don't worry about it" which is a terrible approach.

Is it going to happen? Sure.

Should we just not care? Pfft, of course we should care.

Sex is not for teenagers. A large portion teens regret having done it. They think they are being big and grown up when they commit to a sexual relationship, and the two don't really have anything to do with eachother.

I know I grew up and live in a different place than most people. Most people around here as teens encouraged each other to be abstinent, and that made a difference.

Look at V, she is concerned about her son having sex. Why? Because she knows he just shouldn't be doing it, and until you are a parent or you are looked up in similar light and love a child that much, all of the sudden abstinence becomes the way. There's an inherent worry built into us about promiscuous sex. Why? Because it's morally wrong, and deep down, we all know it.

You can laugh all you want, but the obvious best way for this situation to play out is that V's son discontinue the fooling around. He's 14, he's just a kid.

Sex before marriage isn't a sin. Sex is marriage. There are many verses that back this up if you want me to go in detail

1 corithians 6:16 Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, “THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH.” How is "Sex before marriage" a sin, when the bible clearly says sex IS marriage.

In Leviticus the BOOK of sexual sins, there are no sins pointing to pre marriage sex.

I concluded that fornication, or the word that word was translated from, referred to sexual sins like whore mongering, prostitution and so forth. So I began to wonder if it was just the usual custom, and not commanded. I also remember Elijah saying something about two people becoming married by deciding to be married (I suppose without a legal document). or ceremony, which was traditional (not Biblical).

Once you have sex with her, you’re married for life. Whether you get legally married falls under a different commandment of God (Romans 13), which tells us we must follow the laws of the land. Therefore, the government requires people to legalize marriage: so as a child of God, you must marry the girl legally. The only choice both of you have is: whether to get legally married before or after you have sex. Either way you will not sin!

Fornication is the word principally used in the Bible to show illegitimate sex, which is adultery and other forms of perverted sex, such as homosexuality, bestiality, group sex, unnatural sex acts like sodomy; but all these are examples of the true meaning of fornication. Fornication is the act of any human being not worshipping God according to having faith in the Biblical statutes and commandments. When a person knows to do right, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin, which is a willful act of disobeying God. Such people are fornicating with the devil, by having intercourse with another god, other than their God, by not loving their God, which is to keep God’s commandments.

Waiting until you are older to have sex is not a bad choice, but saying its sinful is just ignorant. Quit living off what your preacher/parents told you when you were a little kid, and research and study the bible more your self.

what's going on here?

Blueta says no comment but then she never shuts up!

Wait, don't you and your "wife" post here daily, non stop! I post here once in a blue moon! so............ yeah!
It's the jerk you married who never shuts up

What's so absurd??! How can another parent ask another parent to put their child on birth control?! That is a VERY personal choice for a person, so it's up to the girl, not the parents, the man or another parent.

The pill is not without side effects.

Pretty friggin easy to understand!

I think you have confused the word "ask" with "force". You can ask anyone anything.

There is nothing said about premarital sex in the New Testament.

The scriptures were not written in English. "Fornication" is a great example of the lies in translation of some bibles. Some English bibles say that, others say the more correct translation "sexual immorality". The koline Greek word that has been mistranslated as fornication is porneia. There is no biblical basis whatsoever to translate porneia into fornication (singles sex).

Porneia meant sexual immorality which included:

1) Sex during women's menstruation.

2) Adultery which biblically was understood by the Hebrews to mean wrong for a married women to have sex with another man since violated her husbands property rights. It was never understood to be wrong for a married man since his wife had no such rights. The married man could have as many wives and concubines (breeders) as he wished as long as not married (another man's property. Nothing ever was wrong with singles sexuality. "Fornication" is a total mistranslation of Greek "porneia"

3) Pagan sex goddess prostitution. Porneia as used in I Cor 6-9, falsely translated in some bibles as fornication was actually the practice of the prostitutes in the Temples of Corinth selling their services as a part of pagan fertility goddess worship which was what Paul was warning against. Not even specifically about prostitution (still legal and very popular in Israel today) but used as a pagan sexual goddess worship.

4) Pederasty - one of the worst of all sexual sins that took various forms: The practice of pederasty falls into three distinct styles. First is the relationship between an older man and a young boy. Second is the practice of slave prostitutes. Third is that of the effeminate "call boy" or prostitute. Other practices included a heterosexual male degrading another heterosexual male by anal intercourse after capturing them in battle. Another practice was heterosexual's using anal intercourse to drive out other heterosexual strangers they didn't like such as the case of the Sodom story. It had absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality as we know it today, which is simply being as God designed some people to be.

Adultery in biblical times did not mean what it means to us today. Clearly there was never a word said about the fact Hebrew men could have as many wives, concubines (breeders) and "other women" as they could afford. THIS IS NOT ADULTERY, in the Hebrew understanding of the Adultery Commandment of Moses. Adultery as understood by what Moses said was only wrong for married women, never a married man.
