Morning diet help...

Is it a problem to consume a protein drink on waking, 06:30am. Then having breakfast at 09am, i.e. oats with milk.

This is an open ended question that is impossible to answer being that you have failed to set forth any parameters/goals/etc. relative to your situation.

Basically what I am saying is that alot of people have their 1st meal as a protein and carb rich meal, waht I am trying to ask is would it be of any further benefit to add carbs to the shake if the form of oats, or is having the shake 1st thing good to replenish, then have the oats. If that makes any better sense.

I'd never have protein alone, no. I'd add some healthy EFA's into that offering myself.

Again, what your goals are/diet/training/etc. will all be a factor in what you can eat here, what you can't, etc.

What Swole is saying here boss is the need for you to post your stats, current diet, and goals/plans for the future in order to receive any help at all.

180lbs, 5ft 10ins, hardgainer, about 10%. Would like lean muscle. Eating about 3200cals/day. 40% protein - 40% complex carbs - 20% good fats.
I train heavy every other day. Eating 3 shakes per day other 3 to 4 meals solid food.
Hope this helps.
