My trainer wants me to take in 2 tablespoons of MCT FUEL every day for my "fats" to prepare for contest in which I am 13 weeks out. What are your thoughts on MCT's? Any experience with them? Their affects?
MCT's are excellent for fuel. Easily broken down for energy, unlike their saturated "cousins". When you cut carbs, you need to pick up some calories somewhere. MCT's are an excellent choice.

medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is very beneficial as is used like a carbohydrate by the body in terms of energy, but it doesn't raise your insulin levels or blood glucose levels as a carbohyrate would.
