The attack has been underway for years (welfare addiction, promiscuity, abundant abortion, gay/lesbian agenda, no-fault divorce, discrediting Christianity, etc.)

When the following agenda items are advanced by liberal ideology and are being shoved into the mainstream, that constitutes a de facto attack.

Those items that you've mentioned (welfare addiction, promiscuity, abundant abortion, gay/lesbian agenda, no-fault divorce, discrediting Christianity, etc.) don't directly impact marriage per see.

If I didn't know better, I would of sworn that you took some of the more socialistic items over the past decade and call them an attack.

For example, I could argue that the increase in the work week and increase in worker hours constitutes an attack on the family because family's aren't spending dinner together and bonding. See? But I'm not going to do that because that type of causality is difficult to prove (the increase in worker hours with the increase to the divorce rate) and plain nutty.

1) LBJ's Great Society included a plan to save inner city minorities. Welfare, etc. What it did was displace the need for a father. Women can have children out of wedlock, get paid by Uncle Sam, have more kids, no need for a pop. There are generations of kids in the urban community with no father figure in their lives. Family breakdown.

2) Rampant abortion means the devaluation of life. Family breakdown.

3) No-fault divorce laws. Make it easy to get a divorce. Family breakdown.

4) Gay/Lesbian agenda. Marriage is nothing sacred, two men or two women living together is the same thing, right? Family breakdown.

5) Christianity? Who needs it? Christmas? Let's call it winter break. Easter? Call it spring break. No prayer in schools. Etc, etc.

Sigh, all opinions. If you say that it's your opinion, then that's fine. When you declare it as matter of fact, I've got a difficulty with that.

Opinions, in the same fashion:
- higher out-sourcing means higher hours at work...no time with kid...family breakdown

- attacks on Muslim faith...causes rife among ME families in North America...family breakdown

- no abortion means that women will keep the child that they can't afford to keep or offspring due to rape or dies because of complications during birth...strains surviving family...family breakdown

- no minimum wage...means less food on the table for the working poor...family breakdown

- acceptance of black, chinese, jews whatever race means less opportunity for whites...less pay...higher hours at work...family breakdown

- more commercialism in the internet means higher rates of solitude while spending time online...no time with family...family breakdown

I think Longhorn is after the culture war between the traditionalists and the secular progressives. The secular progressives are winning the fight because they are more educated, more organized, and have gained control of the important offices of power in this country.

Oh please. I asked you to back up the venom you were spewing about how people in my situation are destroying the institution of marriage.

I'm sure you would LOVE to keep this impersonal and not think of us as actual human beings that you are lambasting but I put actual names and faces on the single moms you said should not be glorified, but guess what dear:
