Low carb and LBM gain?

that is ignorant, I gained 15 lbs on a low carb (under 40g/day) last year. and lost fat. Carbs are not needed to gain muscle, in ANY way

Probably the same amount of lbm you gained without the fat and water gains if you had added carbs. The calories can come from fat (stored or eaten ) and from excess protein. Protein is the main limting food factor.
 
so whats the best approach in terms of caloric surplus or caloric deficit when attempting this. Like I said I am going for 5-6lbs of fat loss in 3 weeks, while keepin all LBM or gaining a little if possible.
 
Keep your carbs as low as possible, also keep fat low. Take in 15-30 complex carbs pre work out with some ala. Not more then 60 gr carbs/day, but if you go less than that it would be better. Var at 40 mg/day is a good drug to use with 250 test. I know everyone here will disagree, but I used this exact formula to lose 2% bf down to 6% which is good for my body type (endomorph). Lost a little strength but everyone thought I got bigger. Don't need crazy high doses.
