Leg Day 5-13-03, 1am, and YES, I did BACK SQUATS!!! :)
With the help of an olympic cambered bar... I was able to do back squats with 4 plates and 2 quarters on... on a regular straight bar, that would be 275, but this bar, was longer than a standard bar, and weighted a bit more... so, I'm not sure exactly how MUCH it weighed?

Here was my workout

Back Squats w/ Cambered bar
bar warmup x 20
2 plates x 10
2 plates + 2 quarters x 10
4 plates x 8
4 plates + 2 quarters x 5

Zercher Squats
Bar Warmup
135x10
185x10
225x8 --- lost my pants on 185 and 225 again today... after 225, my pants just fell off from my left side... I need to stop wearing snap up pants... luckily at 1am, there isn't anyone in the gym!

Stiff legged deadlifts
135x10
225x10
275x8

At this point, I was feeling like I was going to puke... I didn't spend much time in between sets, I was so excited about the back squats, with the usage of that bar, that I just was pumped up... after the 225 Zercher squat set, I almost passed out and puked at the same time...

Calves Standing 3 sets of stack +45 x 12, 10, 13

I left the gym and threw up outside my car... it was mostly just the water I had drank during the workout... and after that, I felt really ok... but still, very tired and blasted.

Looks like I can add back squats to my arsenal now... I'm pretty stoked.

Just in case you don't know what it is.

This bar, essentially allowed me to HOLD onto the bar, with the lack of mobility in my shoulder so that I could properly balance it. With a standard olympic bar, I could not grasp the bar on the left side... not with any substantial amount of weight.

It's a good thing I have been conditioning myself with front squats, I got VERY low on these squats... so I'm happy with tonights workout... one of my best leg workouts in a while... obviously, I threw up on the street in front of my car!

Yeah, the bar belonged to the gym, they had it sitting in a corner collecting dust... this weekend, I put it on my shoulder just messing around and was like... Hey, I could squat with this maybe?

So last night I took it downstairs and tried it out... and it worked.

I'm pretty majorly stoked about this whole thing... I just think it's amazing... lol -- I now have a COMPLETE back workout I can use... along with a really developed front squat! :)

Congrats, C ditty! I was hoping you'd pop in here some day saying you'd found a way to back squat. No more excuses! You did it!
