Who said I wanted their advice to change? relax...
I am very open minded and will definitely experiment with their techniques. They all look fantastic and obviously know what they are doing.
When her fat loss comes to a halt on this diet, I will defineltey add more complex carbs and decrease her fats. This diet is meant for the long run and I would imagine it would be better with more complex carbs and veggies.
Just curious if a female was a pure endomorph weighing 140lbs would you reccommed the same diet or go low carb? -thanks
A low carb diet - but not no carb, as you have her on. I have a similar build and really need to watch the carbs I eat. I stay away from pasta, white bread, white potatos, and white rice. I eat yams, high fiber cereals, apples, strawberries, peaches, oatbran, sprouted grain bread, whole wheat english muffins, etc. Sometimes I eat brown rice.
And I'm on a cutting diet. I limit my carbs to my first 2 meals, and in a protein shake after workout. (1/2 banana or fat free milk). The rest of my meals are protein/vegis/fat. A lot of spinach, brocolli, & asparagas. If I get a sweet tooth, I eat an apple or some strawberries.
I'm losing fat on this diet while retaining my muscle mass. I've actually added muscle mass and lost fat at the same time. I work out 5-6 days a week and do cardio 3 - 4 days a week.
I think the diet you have her on is a mistake, because she will rebound later. Not only will it clog up her intestines, but she will lose energy and eventually crash that diet by wolfing down bad carbs. I've tried really low carb and it never keeps the fat off for long. A moderately low carb diet is easy to maintain for life if need be, and is much healthier than what you're considering.
