Keto Dieting/When to Cheat(Carb up)?

For those of you who are or have been on Keto diets, how long did you wait before you had your cheat day(carb up day)? I'm on week 3 so far and was thinking that I could just wait and hold out till Thanksgiving. I Figured that would be a good day to pack in the calories. Any thoughts on this?
 
It depends on the specific diet.

If i were to carb up once a week on Atkins, i'd screw myself over. And i mean really car up, not just a few grams. A lot of people use it as a strategy to jump start their metabolism and speed up weight loss when it has come to a stand still. Basically they return to an old way of eating for a few days, then return to low LOW carbs (20/day or less) and let their body's return to Ketosis.

The only problem with carbing up once a week (if your TRYING to loose weight) is that your spending half of your week out of ketosis instead of in.
 
If you can hold out until thanksgiving then DO so...the longer you are in Ketosis, the more fat-loss you achieve....hold your body in Ketosis and cheat on thanksgiving...it'll bring about very good results..
