Just wanted to introduce myself... *WITH A NEW ONE YEAR UPDATE*

YAY, PROJECT!

What an inspiration! No excuses, indeed!

I was told years ago that I had slight scoliosis, and now that I'm lifting heavy, next time at the doc's I'm going to ask for more info. I don't know what kind of scoliosis I have, but I've always known that I can't carry bags on my left shoulder because they always slide off!

I wonder: how did you modify for squats and anything else you did with the bar across your shoulders? Or did you modify at all?

Thanks everyone!

I talked to the doc about my scoliosis, and he said, "Yep, you've got a slight spinal curvature." Basically, I'm too old to do anything about it.

I didn't really modify anything to adjust, but my bar placement is still usually a little off to the left. I don't know that that's due to the scoliosis, it may just be me being off center.

I didn't used to walk with good posture, and also didn't used to have shoulders to carry bags on. Works a little better now. :D

Congrats on the progress! Even though you credit your results on others, I hope you know that without your obvious *internal* drive, determination and dedication you would never have gotten to this point. You've done a great job!

Now when can I come over and get *my* body re-shaped by Spatts and Hannibal?!?!?!? :dance2:

Spatts has a test thread going, but I wanted to throw my numbers from today in here:

Bench: 232
Squat: 265
Deadlift: 375

Total: 872

1 year ago, it was probably a little more like this:

Bench: 135
Squat: 135
Deadlift: 0 because of my back.

You wre benching about 45-95 this time last year. You did AWESOME today. :D

thanks...you know how much that means to me.

I figure 45-95 for reps, I could probably have squeaked out 135 for one. Considering my 1 rep max was 175 about five or six months ago, it's a hell of a jump.
