Just found out via myspace that my brother is gay

It figures this had to happen during the first time I have drank in weeks lol

My parents are really really ignorant and racist so this issue has probably been avoided for quite a while. I was on my sisters myspace site and noticed that my brother was on there. I clicked on his profile and one of the first things it says is that he's gay. I know it must be extremely hard for my brother especially considering my dad is the most ignorant whereas my mom is but not as much. I'm trying to figure out a way to talk to him but being pretty drunk, it may not be the best time. Anyone had any experience with this?

Just tell him you support him (if you do). Anything past that and I don't know. Asking "Can I do anything for you?" would probably show you think he can't handle it himself now.

LOL wtf?

well said, but I think asking if you can do anything to help will show him that you want to help him in his situation. Actions really do speak louder than words.

just talk to him like a man , a gay man but a man non the less.

seriously dont treat him any different , just treat him like you always have and when he's ready to tell you he will.
