Just a little good news

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I have actually made some progress! Down to 27% body fat now. Dropping about 1% each week. And I've been drinking a lot more water lately, which I think is part of the reason why I now weigh 134# consistently instead of 137# consistently. My diet has been getting cleaner, too! I definitely feel better. :D

This past week I averaged 46/32/22 (CHO, Protein, Fat) with about 130g protein and 1750 kcal. This coming week I'm aiming to increase the protein to an average of 140g/day. I did about 2 days of cardio this past week, this week I'm going to do 4 days, HIIT right after training for about 30 mins. I'm embarassed to admit my CHO average, but let's just say that dropping down to 185g/day next week would be big progress. :( Well, some days I did really well, other days were shitty. Its largely because I'm still learning to estimate how much of everything is in different foods. Fitday.com is definitely helping me!

Been taking 5g glutatmine/day on training days (there have been 4 of them, as scheduled). Lifting hard. Unfortunately I deadlifted last Monday and the soreness didn't quit until Friday. maybe too hard? And I have been taking a multivitamin now. And using triple threat 360, 2 scoops, each day.

Slowly but surely...

Thanks, Spatts! One thing is kind of messed up though. I've had my period for over 2 weeks now so the nurse-practitioner at the health center put me on Provera (progesterone-only) for 10 days to stop it. This is very weird, because my periods are never more than 5 days long. The provera hasn't worked so far. Besides wondering what the hell is going on with my body, I'm hoping the progesterone won't keep me from losing some fat. I know that Depo causes weight gain because of the progesterone. I went off the Lunelle this month, but this endless period started before the end of my last cycle (obviously) so that's not to blame. Has this happened to anyone? What is the cause?

KEL,
I don't think so. They did that thing where they press on your ovaries (outside) and nothing hurt and they didnt feel anything unusual as far as I know. Is that the sort of test that you're referring to? By the way, this is nothing heavy. Its really more like neverending "spotting."

I just did a search for polycystic ovaries...yikes! I hope I don't have that! A little worried that I could because it is linked to diabetes, which runs in the family, and also because my skin is breaking out a lot lately -which is another symptom.
Damn, the hypochondriac in me is freaking out. Anyone else have any less scary suggestions as to what could be causing this?
:worried:

dont freak!! You're young and healthy... periods can get all wacky due to ANYTHING... stress , physical or mental.... change in diet ...which you just did etc.. dont freak just yet:) just go to a gyno and chat.

KB,
Thanks, I do hope its something like stress or a diet change. Another reason I'm concerned that something may be wrong is that I had some raging mood swings and fierce cramps this time around. Like, :bawling: to  to  from minute to minute with no reason to be. I have never experienced that before (cramps, yes, mood swings, never). I will be sure to post as soon as I talk to the doctors.
