Gota keep Iraq as a nice little staging area for kicking off WW3.

Didnt people say attacking Iraq would do the same. it would set off a chain of events that would lead to all arab nations joining together?

And who says it won't? You think our image in the Arab nation has improved since invading Iraq??

Those people (aside from a very select few) are incapable of doing anything for themselves. To say it will be interesting to see what happens once we pull out will be the understatement of the year.

By the way, I'm back from Iraq.

military.

however, if the fiance and i weren't currently in school, i would be contracting over there in a heart beat. there is soooo much money to be made over there...you really don't know.

Better spent on what?

really?? you think that $1t was well spent? Really? And then you ask what possibly it could have been better spent on? How about that money not been spent at all.....better yet.....not been collected. Now that money get's cycled back into our FLAILING ECONOMY!! Please tell me you're not serious?

well of course there is.......it's the new land of exploitation, ahem, I mean "oppotunity"......

Not that I begrudge those private contractors their salaries.......but it kind of makes me ill that it's basically american tax payer money going to mercenaries rather than to our national troops.

Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki demands US withdrawal timetable

timetable?? hell no, how about you wake up tomorrow, and we have withdrawn everything..

how bout that for a timetable.. or rather, how about we just put all our forces permanently withing the bases inside your country that you have already agreed to, and we'll just continue on without you..

not all contractors are working psd's/security detail. a lot of them are simply doing run-of-the-mill jobs that aren't covered by the military. ie heating/ac, engineers, computers, etc.

trust me...there is money to be made without being blown up in the process.

The moneys not ours, so ideally we would have spent it on nothing.

People keep talking about all the money were gonna save if we pull out and people (Obama) have all these idea of what to do with it which really makes no sense.

If your income was $1,000 a month, yet you were spending $30,000 a month on your credit card, would it really make a difference if your spending decreased to $29,500?

No, it wouldnt. For some reason people don't understand that this is exactly the situation were in.
