Wow, the dutch are so advanced they are backwards.... or maybe not. The only way to protect the culture of an original society is to "shift priority to the values of the Dutch people..." AWESOME. This means that people from overpopulated third world countries shouldn't immigrate to another country in hopes of liberty and freedom and try to turn it into their own sweaty god forsaken motherland that they escaped from.
Sounds like at least a couple peeps in particular completely missed the point of both my posts, and immediately chose to jump to some typical conclusions. So rather than just posting another article that will likely be just as ignored or misinterpreted, I'll keep it simple:
1. A society that allows everyone to behave and pledge allegiance to whichever set of values and ideals they choose will inevitably lead to disfunction. To think that all immigrants are "the same" is mutually exclusive to the very reality of multiculturalism in the first place. I never said people can't celebrate their individual cultures, but think about what happens when all these different cultures come "first" in their minds. Really. Think. It shouldn't take much to see where that will lead. When all's said and done, we have to be able to set our individual differences aside for a greater, more common good if we're all going to be in this "together".
2. Our society has a very one dimensional understanding of many things, including racial issues, and has been trained to only see things this way. Those who attempt to step outside the box are subjected to varying degrees of fear tactics and coersion, which is why most never even bother to discover the bigger picture on their own.
A bi-product of these forced boundaries is that, even within the acceptable spectrum of debate in pop society, our discussions have seemed to digress into something no deeper than a puddle. How is that for irony? A multicultural society that is encouraged to limit its knowledge of multiculturalism only to that which casts it in a good light.
The agenda we continue to push is made to look like it's working while sweeping everything that's not under the rug. People have to be smarter and more proactive about learning what's really going on around them, as well as abroad. Because what we're spoonfed from grade school right on through graduate studies only leads to, well, I'll refer to this quote again-
The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum. — Noam Chomsky, American Linguist and US Media and Foreign Policy critic.
All in all though I suppose it doesn't matter. The one thing that is certain about human nature, whether black, white, brown, yellow, Arab, Jewish, Hindu, Christian, atheist, etc. is that for one reason or another, the peace that might have been fought for with blood, sweat and tears has always seemed to be a short-lived accomplishment.
As for Old Hickory, I learned all about the Trail of Tears, if that's what you were refering to.
However, here's an example of something I highly doubt any American was taught about in a public U.S. institution-
Just a tip of the iceberg of how much and what kinds of information are controlled.
But whatever, it's easier to just not care in the first place and "go with the flow", right?
We got us a real racist here! YeEEEEEEE HAAAAAA!!!
So Hansel, you hate Muslims and you hate Jews. Got any other hatred you want to express? Mexicans? Italians? Blacks?

America is already what you fear, and always has been. That's what makes it great.
The paranoia that someone who comes from a different culture is less American and has different priorities than good old white people is really small minded.

I agree there is a real problem with certain groups who think that "they come first". Namely, the radical Christian right. There is no tolerence in those small minded dimwits, and no thought of being in this country "together".
Funny I saw the inbred idiots in Muphreesboro Tennessee today, still full of hate because a mosque is being built in their "Christian country". Barf.
I was going to comment on the rest of your post but can't really see a point in it.
People don't know what's going on? Let's be scared? What do you really want to say? Go ahead and start spewing.

a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
New Proverb:
Give a man a welfare check, a cell phone, cash for his
clunker, food stamps, section 8 housing, Medicaid, 100 weeks of
unemployment checks, a 40-ounce malt liquor, needles, drugs,
contraceptives, and designer Air Jordan shoes and
he will vote Democrat for a lifetime.
I'm not responsible for other people's assumptions. Let's stop with the self-fulfilling prophecy already. It's only perpetuating the problem. For the record, white trash is just as if not more pathetic than any other race's lowest common denominator.
