Rarely. White sharks prefer colder water...we get sightings in the early spring and late fall, but it's uncommon. Our water is warm. The pacific coast gets some more, but if i'm gonna travel for them, I'm going to south africa. They have the white sharks that breach.
White sharks like 60-65 degree water. Ours is only that temp in april and early december. Colder in the winter and 75-85 from june through october. The pacific coast is 50-65 in the summer.

I've seen a bull shark. I've seen a tiger shark. No biggie.
Only time I ever had a shark prompt me out of the water was a curious sand tiger who bumped my leg. I'm cool when it's same ocean same day...but when they interact with me, I'm done.
Ive been watching shak week on the discovery channel those things are neat! They said they have more testosterone than any other living creature... There was a family fishing for trout and a large shark brushed tjere leg so they moved to the other side of the small island and then another shark charged one of them hitting them with force... The dummies brushed it off an comtinued to fish amd then it happened, it just ripped this guy up to shreads almost killing him... Guess they couldnt take the hint to get out...
haha I'm not....I just wasn't scared. I'm not on either of their food chains.
I'd be nervous about a blue water shark like a mako or an oceanic white tip. They are less picky about their food because they never know when a good meal is going to come along. But I've never seen either. A great white would make me tremble a little because they are taste testers. That's about it.
