I was 16. Suffered an attack, so I picked the biggest aggressive asshole I could find. My guard dog.

Yeah, that makes sense; Childhood trauma is the basis for all our dysfunction. You probably didn't need an attack dog but the exact opposite.

And if they can't, I hope the fuckstick gets convicted of that burglary charge and he is sent to jail.

I'm not sure what state you live in. But each state is pretty much the same at support enforcement. It just sucks that you haven't done anything up til now to put him in arrears. If he was behind on his support payments the enforcement agency would be more hard pressed to put the shaft to him. I am speaking from personal experience with this. You seriously need to go petition for custody and support.
