BTW I live for Methadone
Yea that's what we used to get off of roxycodone. Lortabs and hydro's are nothing compared to roxy's.
When we get our roxy's, we also get a bunch of methadone to come off of. I haven't had roxy's in a few weeks and I'm fine. I'm down to a few 10mg methadone a day and today I haven't take any and I'm fine.
If methadone doesn't do it for ya or if you become addicted to them, then suboxone is your only option. The problem with suboxone is that you can't just ask your doc for them. There are doc's that specialize in opiate addiction who are the only one's that can prescribe them.
This isn't some "take a couple and call me" type script. This is more like yuo go in while suffering withdrawals, they give you your first dose of suboxone and see if the withdrawals go away. If they don't, they up your dose. Once they figure out your dose, you're asked to come back in either a few days are a week. Once you come back, they ask you a bunch of questions then give you a piss test to make sure you're using the suboxone. This is a treatment program NOT just a script.
Just like with another substance that someone mentioned regarding being completely off of opiates before taking them, suboxone acts the same way. It's not as severe as 2 weeks though. As long as you're suffering from withdrawals, you can take them because the only reason you're going through withdrawals is because there are no opiates in your system (obviously).
It's worked for a lot of people but only temporarily because they weren't 100% dedicated to going clean. They would quit the suboxone and not have any more withdrawals so they think they can start taking opiates again only to be in for quite a surprise after they start getting withdrawals again.
It's quite a struggle but if you wanna come clean, suboxone may be your ticket to it.
