Ibuprofen or Vicodine?

With one Vicodin and only like 8 Ibuprofen, taking all these are not gonna do squat to your health. I'd just take the 800mg Ibu's and save the Vicodin for when any pain really comes around (on top of the Ibuprofen).

Most Vicoden has acetaminophen as well. You can get Vicodin in a cough syrup without the Aceto. You may want to ask for that instead.

Personally, for pain, i'd take Vicodin over Ibu's any day. In fact, Ibu's hardly do shit for me. They work more as a anti-inflammatory. Yes, you can get addicted on Vic's, but i'd rather go with no pain than sitting around all day hurting. If you are getting them from an MD, then you will only have a certain amount anyway, unless he keeps giving refills.

I usually keep a bottle of both around in case something arises. You can not plan pain, so I usually keep them for them unexpectant emergencies. Of course, i'm not a downer freak like I was when younger, so I don't ever get urges to take any for recreational use anymore. Besides, Vic's make my nose itch like a mother fucker now.

A buncha fucking loser druggies on this board. You should all be banned because roids are ok and all other drugs are for losers.

You should've cooked up the Vicodin in a spoonful of spit and mainlined it in your neck for max relief. You can always mash up the ibuprofen and snort em.

dont worry guys, no addictive personality here. I have access to preety much anything. But i love my body, i do party, but no addictions here. Just wont let it happen. i have several friends addicted to several things so i dont wanan be in thier shoes.

It's not an "addictave personality" that gets one hooked on opiates. It's a chemical dependency established at the mu receptors at the base of the brain. You have no control over what happens at these receptors, provided your not on any anti-opiate meds.

With that being said, the typical Dr Phil -I can't make you quit using drugs for you-type of solution to overcome PK addiction is bullshit. Sometimes free will just isn't enough to quit using for many peeps-which is why nobody is 100% immune to becoming addicted to pain meds. It's funny how some people can be so in control over certain areas of their lives, and have so little control in other areas. Look at the fat ass Fortune 500 executive-he's got a tight game in the making $$$ dept, yet he doesn't have the ability to put down the fork. Then on the other end of the spectrum is the highly disciplined champ BB, that's so self absorbed and socially illiterate it's impossible for him to even hold a job.

200 mgs Ibuprofin 2-3 times daily

thats it

I had a Dr. tell me ibuprofin will give people bleeding ulcers. He's an old timer and said when he was signing death cert. in OK City he saw a ton of bleeding ulcers leading to death caused by ibuprofin. He's the first Doc I've ever heard drop an F bomb while seeing a patient. Crazy old guy, extremely opionated so I guess use some discretion to what he says.

hello
heres another topic that i am sorry to say im a pro at well first off the chances of you becomeing addicted are real slim unless you had a prior addiction to pain narcotics and you can look that up.... but i was on some seriouse shit like 50 mg transdermal patches , oxycottin, methadone- because it was cheaper and i maxed out insurance meds allowance, percocet, loratab, vicodin, lot of shit huh... well to say the least i was taking lots of these pills all perscribed but now i take a few very few to help with muscle pain every so often due to my back that ive had 2 surgeries on...all in all i feel great and am going back to work this month with no limitations.....

the vicoden really helps with the muscle pain, dont be worried about addiction, you might get addicted if you taking very high doses for a very long time......

hope ya feel better

Where did you see that Ibupro inhibits muscle gain? I wanna see that study, never heard of that, and I take Advil quite a bit for headaches....

be careful bro. you body will build tolerance to the vics in no time at all which will force you to take more at once to get the same pain relief. that is how the addictions start for a lot of people. what strength are the ibs? how's your stomach on that stuff? screws me all up and caused a bleed.

If you understand the concept "addictive personality," then you probably have one.
It takes one to know one.

That's exactly right. Desire is the starting point of all achievement.
Some don't give a shit about money.
Some don't give a shit about health.
Actually, most people want it all. But, how bad do they want it?
However, most people do not want to be drug addicts and those that are usually do not have anything that they want.
So, neither the fat Fortune 500 exec (name one!) or a champ BB are addicited to vicodin. If they were, they would not be anything.
Maybe they are addicted to achieving their goals and may have addictive personalities, but their energies are channeled in a positive direction, not a dead-end drug addiction.
