I dont know how serious it is , and maybe someone can tell me what i did.
Now remember i am very scared of injury. Two injuries in 2001 almost had me cal it quits. I am really only were i was last sept. No progress really. rehab is all i have basically been doing. It was my left rotator. Well...
Today Jimmie Dean and i went to do back at noon today. I havent used my suit and wasnt going to pull anythin over 500 but just wanted to feel if the suit was worth a shit. So i put it on and it was ok , kinda tight 500 of course shot right up very quick. BUt just in the mood of humor i chalked up and stood over in a sumo stance (i dont pull sumo). Got my feet right , reached down , did my rythem roll (dont ask) and pulled it cam up probably 18inches and POP! Something went in my upper right pec lower delt area. I mean a sharp pain. I couldnt do anything else. I went home and iced it and waited for a bruise to pop up. No bruise but it is swollen to hell on my right (my good never injured side)side. Its not un barable, but its visible swollen and a push up is out of the question. Basically i have been quite and in shock all day long. I have been very upset about it. No more rehab. I did a shit load of homework to take my mind off it but each time i turned the page i had a reminder. Its too soon to tell but my experience tells me its not an overnight thing. It probably started last night went up to 620 last night on the bench and was very (bad) sore. I am way over trained and hurt everywhere and ths is by far the worst of it.
Funny thing is it was the last workout till the 1st. I needed a long break cause i have been so run down. Then BaM! Anyone no what this could be? Is there signs i need to look for? The spot that hurts is #1 were the pain ful part is the grabs the bar when i squat. #2 i feel it perfectly there when i do a benching motion, but i can lightly flex my pec.
Its like this who knows in a week. I am freakin but its swollen and i cant move it well. Its not rotator or AC been there done that! I have trained so hard and heavy i feel if i cant compete it was all for nothign. SO i am not out of the meet yet. But my benching is priority number 1. And if this is a slight tear i am not gonna risk it. Without my bench i dont care about the others. BUt i just dont feel like rehabing anymore. I figured a week and a half off i would be good again. I ammore excited about squatting and pulling in this meet more then anything. But the over training is from shirting up and trying new equipment every week and not feeling confident inmy shirts and testing heavy all the time. I have benched over 600 every week since mid April. 4 or so weeks off rom the marc meet and i had handled 600 plus every week dam near from my Jan meet all the way to march, 4 weeks no shirt and all till now. My upper body is basically fucked up right now. My elbows are in flamed, my bi's hurt so bad i can flex them, i have a pinch in my upper left corner of my left pec, now this. Sorry for the rant but i am sittn here for the 6 th time today with ice on me at 11pm freakin again.
Any thoughts on what i need to do? I have a massage (deep tissue ) monday. That may help some.
