I need a good NECK workout

Neck Flexion;

Place folded towel on weight plate. Lie supine perpendicular to bench. Place weight and towel on the forehead. Support and balance weight with both hands throughout movement.

Move head up by flexing neck until chin touches upper chest. Return by hyperextending neck and repeat

Neck extensions;


Place folded towel on weight plate. Sit bent over on thighs. Place weight and towel on the back of head. Support and balance weight with both hands.

Move head up by hyperextending neck. Return by bending neck down until chin touches upper chest. Repeat.

Side to side is fine...best to go all directions if you can. But it takes some getting used to. Do it from your knees at first, then from your toes as your neck gets stronger.
 
Have someone put a half nelson on you and resist as much as possible. Get involved with some mat time. . . .some wrestlers terms. Go workout with the University of Illinois wrestling squad. You will get a big neck.
 
you my secret to having a 20" neck? have a giant fucking mellon as a head... seriously your nekc will get stronger if you have a 52 lb head... just holding the damng thing up.

I do neck ups, just lay on a bench with my head hanging off the end and push my head up almost like a neck sit up, I apply weight for my hands on the forehead. We do these in wrestling, bridges are bad for your spine and I have gotten a couple pinched nerves from doing them until I learned to stop. I also do the neckups side to side and backwards. I get a good burn from them, my neck is already huge for my body just from wrestling, heavy deads, and recently training my neck.
