I need some exercises to do for my neck... to make it thicker... like... HOW to actually do that neck thing with the weight..

I'd like to avoid anything with the Neck Harness...

So if you guys could point me in the right direction, or at least let me know if I'm doing it right (weight on back of my head, laying down over incline bench and moving head up and down) I'd appreciate it. :)

neck presses. ill explain
get on yer hands and knees and have a friend press down on the back of your head and u push up with your head as hard as u can. then do the same for side to side and then have him hold your forehead while u push for head forward. they use these in football and wrestling to thicken and strengthen their neck.

Yes, Towel, bridges... pictures?? :)

Saint just explained Bridges over the IM... think I know how to do them now... but pictures woudl be nice. :)

C, check out some Mixed Martial Arts sites. Some of them have specific training techniques. Since neck training is a big thing in fighting, there will be lifts described for it.

When I started fighting a had kind of a bitch jaw, so I trained my neck pretty hard in hopes of improving my ability to take shots. Bridges, isos, various harness lifts, etc. My neck got stronger, but it really started to grow when I began deads:)

Just be careful when you train your neck man. Find good pics and descriptions of the exercises before you try. The neck is really vulnerable to injuries by doing things like these wrong.

Just remember, it's hard to find decent dress shirts with over an 18.5" neck. If you go much over that, you have to start going to the big and tall section which means limited colors and patterns and the shirt will be the size of a tent.

I'm already wearing 18.5" neck now, and I have to have them tailor made since my suit jacket size is around a 49-50... because there will be an ABUNDANCE of material in the midsection... so it won't be much of anything to have to tell my tailor to make the neck 20" :)
