I am feeling scammed... Moderator approved complaint

For what it's worth...I started using this source about a year ago. The service he provided was excellent; fast, reasonable, responsive and good packaging. In fact I started to use this source about 80% of the time.

About a month ago he came to me and said we could no longer do business as he was having some trouble with orders/people in the U.S. That's all he said and I was pretty dissapointed as I had come to rely almost entirely on him.

Now...my orders were getting larger and more frequent. We had great mutual trust. If he was a scammer he could have really set me up at that point but he didn't. He approached me and broke off the business relationship. Just M2C's.

That's too bad HJ. Maybe he is a selective scammer. The fact is, I paid my money. He acknowledged receipt of payment. After 5 months, I still don't have my gear and he won't answer emails. That sounds like being scammed to me. I have tried to work this out discreetly with him and mutual friends for 5 months. He could have re-sent or even just refunded my money and told me to fuck off and never bother him again. It was not my first recourse to label him as a scammer.

The funny thing is that it was a small order; one that should have been a piece of cake to fill. I never thought someone would throw away their rep over just a couple hundred dollars. I guess you never know.

You had to wait 5 months before listing this OBVIOUS scammer as just that----a scammer? Damn, I know that everyone on EF tries to keep false scamming info down, but that shit is ridiculous. I don't care if the guy is overseas, and backed up like a motha, if he has the supply on hand, it shouldn't take him 5 months to go to the damn Post Office.

Yep sounds like a good selective scammer to me. I just got scammed over 2k and It will be like a shot heard round the world here soon.

Spidey, i do feel for you. NOTHING...nothing... pisses me off more than being ripped off in this way as there is nothing you can do about it. Been there, anybody remember Chosto?!

Thanks for the words of support. I believe what comes around, goes around. I do not have a refund, nor do I have my gear. But I do have a sense of satisfaction knowing AT LEAST I got to say my piece and that might prevent someone else from getting ripped like we did. So, to hell with the rest... let's just get big...

had the same thing happen on a group buy of EQ a while back. three of us, and it took 4 months too. in the end an administrator (from another board) that an EF member hooked me up with got the guy to send the shit finally. at least it DID get here. almost half a year later.....but its here. usually if you get trusted mods/administration involved, the source will send you your shit since they are fucked on the boards at that point if they still continue to screw you.

When you order gear its never a certain that you will recieve it, sometimes sources for one reason or another get in over their head, sometimes because of greed, sometimes because of bad luck and can't fill orders, so they scam you. There were a few bad apples in elite's mod ranks, but I think that they are all gone now, I think that elite has as fine a group of mods found anywhere on the net. It is also great that so many respected mods and vets from other boards frequent elite, it makes elite that much better of a board. But never the less guys, bummer that you lost your cash. And thanks for the heads up.
