carbs aren't 'bad' per se. they are an essential fuel for your muscles.

HOWEVER, some carbs (like sugar) don't provide any nutritional benefit.

it's all about how you proportion your carbs in relation to your proteins and fats -- too many carbs will equal added fat since it's fuel that isn't being used and that your body decides to store as fat.

one popular breakdown for endurance athletes (which i endorse as a mountain bike rider and weight lifter) is getting 40% of your calories from 'complex' carbs, 30% from protein and 30% from fat.

there are a million sites with a million different opinions on what works best, but you just have to find what works well with your body and makes you feel good. in addition, there are TONS of threads about this very topic on this website, just run a search and you will find a wealth of information.

100g of carbs per meal is alot, but if they are quality carbs then thats fine. but make them good carbs... 2 cups of oat meal is about 100g carbs. you are working out alot and arent looking to lose weight, you need carbs because your running alot, and because you want to gain mass. "clean bulking" is what many people on this board use to bulk. they basically dont eat junk food. keep sugar low. my diet is eggs, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, penut butter :) egg whites, veggies. pretty much thats it for me. but theres other diets out there....bbfinaplex swears by ckd bulk, and he knows alot about diet. i chose my diet because im too dumb to carb up correctly/enough, plus i like my big bowl of oats every day. look around and you will find lots of answers.
