i agree...without sounding like too big a fag, i think AAP's physique is as close it comes to perfection...i feel bad for those that have spent so much time getting big, cut and still have that blocky unappealing physique...this is why u rarely posts his pics, cuz of rediculous comments like that
 
I honestly have to say that AAP has one of the most impressive physiques I've seen on the boards. The funny part is that the ones always talking shit have no physique to back up their mouth, but AAP never talks shit about his physique or anyone elses, and he looks better than 99.9% of this board!!
I guarantee that not one big mouth jackoff on here can match him

that picture of rich gaspari IS incredible. how do you suppose he got that way? it had to be after some intense dieting right at the time of a contest. it is hard to believe he could look that way for more than a short period of time.

do you know if aap's cycle history and age is posted in another thread somewhere?

I would like to know how long it too him to get like he is in his avartar, what he does to maintain that weight, ie a cycle a year or what?

Most women find a little vascularity in your forearms and biceps sexy. But I've never met a woman in my life that didn't say "Gross!" when they've seen a guy with all over bulging vascularity like that.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm in the game to "attract" women, not to repell them.

Hey, I finally glanced at this thread. Damn, needsize.......I'm not that old. I'm only 54.

Vascularity has a lot to do with genetics and training. Long-term steroid use will strongly effect this as well. All steroids, not just equipoise, attach to AR receptors in the kidneys and stimulate increased red blood cell production. This increases blood volume, blood viscosity and blood pressure.......and really brings out the vascularity.

Of course, vascularity won't show unless you keep your BF % low.
This is where GH becomes valuable, especially for older guys. Somewhere in my 40's, I found it increasingly difficult to maintain mass and still stay lean. HGH made a huge difference for me. My skin became tighter, thinner, and more elastic. And I have no problem staying at 7 or 8% BF while weighing 245 at 5'11. Virtually impossible without the right hormones at my age.

So, you young guys who think life ends at 40 for bodybuilder's.....I'm here as proof.......it ain't so.

I train with a guy at my gym, 56 years old, with a physique close to yours, lean and ripped all the time with good size too, and the guy rarely ever touches any gear. I hooked him up with some jintropins and the results on his physique are incredible already
 
There's a tiny light inside of me that wants to do a Masters show one day, since I've still yet to win an overall. The problem is I hate being onstage so I doubt i'll do it again.

AAP and Needsize are very impressive, but I don't think you have to do much cardio to get vascularity. Quadsweep is very vascular and freaky looking, and you never catch him doing cardio, even in contest prep. I think good vascularity is part genetics; then years of hard training; and of course, good gear.
 
I am 28. Prior to training heavily, I was a competive swimmer through high school and college. I did the basic drills and cardio then. Mostly back, shoulder and ab work. I was about 184 then. Though my weight tended to move up in the winter months because I was not doing all the cardio or swim drills.

I started training heavy with weights right out of college for about 1.5 years. Then took a long lay off because I went through a relationship break up that left me depressed and second guessing myself. I lost a lot of weight during that time because I was eating at the most, twice a day. Many days, I only had just lunch for the whole day. But once I started training again and eating right, the muscles just started coming back.

One thing that I credit for most of my development is that I took the time to find out what works for me. Most people don't do that. Instead, they cling on to useless exercises their bodies don't respond to because they like to do them, their ego requires them to do them, or because they have conditioned to think they need to do them (i.e. squats, flat bench press, etc..)

Diet wise, I don't count calories. But I do eat a lot of protein. I keep my carbs low. I am not sure of the school of thought where some people say that you only need 1 gram or 1.5 grams of protein per weight. It has never been truly established that more protein builds more muscle. However, the extra protein does in handy for keeping the calories up so I can grow. If more protein does indeed equal more muscle, at least I have under control. I do rely on a lot of protein shakes to get this amount of protein each day.

I have posted what my exact diet was for a specific day in the past. You can search and find it. Maybe after Monday when I am back to eating "normal" I will post a thread on my day by day food intake.

I dont think cardio is necessary for vasularity, just low bf. I did very little cardio for my show but was vascular as hell once I got to around 5-6%
 
potatoes and eggs for breakfast, pie filling and some candy before pre judging. Came in flat though so will carb up more in the days leading up as well as in the morning

A good tip.... 4 hours before the show (prejudging) eat one sweet potato every hour... then you will just need the candy in order to "top off" the carb loading back stage.

thats similar to my approach for the next one, but I want to add more carbs in the days leading up, and add some fats too. I hear that the extra carbs/fats can spill over and make you soft, but when you are barely drinking any water, and taking diuretics, I dont see how you could get soft

Favorite Color = Black. I am a Fall Person, I don't really care for the Spring Colors...

Last night for dinner I had a Steak at LongHorn. Plain bake potato.
