hard lump on side of neck

Go to the doctor and get it checked out.

I had a hard lump on my left hip and it got infected (I don't know if it was the same thing). I had this bubble of puss develop on my hip and I couldn't feel my leg. I went to the hospital.

So, if I was you, get it checked out immediately.

I had the same thing bro, on the side.

Its an inflamed lymph node, 99% of the time its not a problem at all and will likely reduce in size and firmness over time.

Less then 1% of the time it can be a sign of some sort of cancer or disease.

Are you alergic to anything.. a common cause of this is when someone who is alergic to cats gets exposed to one, your lymph nodes will react and become inflamed, often times it is just one side of the next not both. Any allergen can cause this same reaction, cat dander just seems to be one of the most common causes. Could have been something you ate, pollen, grass, etc.

Seeing a doc is a good idea, they will take note of the current size and want to see you again in a few weeks. If it doesn't change, no big deal, if it goes away, better deal, if it gets worse they will biopsy... a biopsy of a lymph node on the neck is involved, usually general anesthesia is used, so its a last resort.. and even if it is biopsied.. odds are you are fine anyway.

Is it painful when you touch it? Does it move when you touch it?

Lestat is right. Highly it is a Lymph nodes but is better to check out to the doctor than not at all.

I got a lymph node taken out under my left armpit somewhat near my breast (specific term i believe is called: fybrotosis) I think that's the name of it. Anyways is not harmful at all is just basically a blood clot. It's painful when I touch it and it moves a lot.

Thank you man. I really appreciate it. That was a REAL good bro post.

Foxxie: No, it's not painful. Doesn't really feel like it moves when I touch it but it's hard to tell.

I wouldn't worry about it
when it's on your ball sac
that's cause for alarm
