I'm old....41....don't have the stamina I used to have...was wondering if it's wise (or if it even matters) to work hammies on shoulder/calf day instead of an "all out" leg day...
Current 4 day split
back/bi
chest/tri
shoulder/calves
legs
Leg workout is typically as follows...
back squats (almost atf) 135x6,185x6,225x6,275x6x3
leg press (sled) 270x10,360x10,450x8,540x8,630x6,720x6x3
hack squat (sled) 180x8,230x6,270x6
single leg, leg extensions x3
By now I'm pretty SPENT (probably the leg presses)...but struggle on with really the only two ham exercises I can do at my gym...those being
stiff leg deads, 135x10x3
leg curls x4 relatively heavy
Overall, feels like I might be neglecting my hams...
Maybe I should cut out hack squat, or cut back on presses...(alternate every other week?)
Thoughts?
