I guess it depends on how much you want to lose before your trip and how much muscle you are willing to sacrifice to lose the fat.... I definately would cut out most of my carbs from the afternoon on and do my intense cardio first thing in the morning every day... I could also try to hit an afternoon session, but maybe a longer session but not as intense. If you want to lose fat enough to be miserable drop your calorie consumption by about 700-800 and keep a healthy cheat day a week to maintain your metabolism... I did all this before spring break in Cancun this year and had pretty good results but I was cranky and tired all the time. It definitely paid off for my trip, I felt great out at the pool and at the clubs! Just make sure that you maintain a healthy diet after your trip so all the fat doesn't pile back on!
