Hey guys i was just wondering what you guys think about genetics?? Do they play a hudge role in what you can achieve or can you still have great ganes with correct training, diet, sleep and supplements.

Anyway i was just wondering cause you guys all said that arnolds workout programs can only be used succesfully if you are a "Genetic Freak" to get great results. Other wise its overtraining for average or alittle above average workout ethusiates ????

j/w let me know what you guys think??

Genetics? I'm against them. I think everyone should be able to look like Arnold so long as they train and eat right.

But seriously folks....Genetics are a fact of life. They determine how your body responds to diet and excercise. The best you can do is to work hard at improving the body God gave you. That in itself will put you miles ahead of most of the population in terms of health and appearance.

Although I have never read Arnold's workout programs, I assume they are not for beginners, genetically gifted or otherwise.

Most people waste their genetic potential. Therefore, someone who trains hard, eats right, etc. will maximize their own genetic potential and be miles ahead of the pack. In spite of their best efforts though, not everyone can be Arnold - because of genetics. But, too many people use "bad genetics" as a cop out. They never even give themselves a chance.

Very true. IMO, you're not allowed to bitch about genetics unless you've honestly put in at least a year of diet and training.

my genetics suck ass :D :D

Thanx alot guys for the info, I appreciate it.
Yea im not sure what my genetic potencial is thats why i am busting my ass 6 days a week on this begginer level 2 program to see what i am capable of.

I was thinking about this the other day. Is there a physical limit that someone will reach (based on genetics) that will determine just how big (muscularly) they could be? That is assuming they aren't on gear or anything.

Relief........

So y'all are saying I'm not going to be stuck with scrawny calves forever? :)
