Front squats + Reverse hyper question

Deciever1

New member
any one here do front squats... i recently added them into my routine, and i think they'll help my long standing deadlift plateau.

and also, what is it supposed to feel like when doing reverse hypers?? i id them today, and dont know what they are supposed to feel like.

I do front squats. Usually do about 221 x 6 on the last set. Not ME, just accessory work.

Reverse hypers feel like an intense forward stretch, elongating the erectors, and then you resist the dynamic of the swing by pulling back against it...this part jacks your lower back and sometimes obliques. Well, that's how it is for me anyway.

Hey Deciever-

have you tried Zercher squats? Man, those are an ego builder. Nothing like having a couple hundred pounds in the crooks of your arms and manhandling it. You'll get some odd looks form the rest of the guys 1/4 squattin though!

Also- how do you get so many damn posts? We were pretty close in number last week!

Later..

nope never tried zerchers.
and i guess i was doing reverse hypers right than, thanks for the description.

an as for the posts..

i just post a lot. i used to have like 1300 posts on my other username anyway

Hey Spatts and all:

Do you do regular zercher??

I started doing them off a box (box squat style).. because I kept falling backwards.... Now I cant stop using the box because my poundages will go down (ego I guess).. point of the comment...
Try zerchers off a box.. It will really work the posterior chain and if the weight is high enough will stress the upper back also..

Just a variation to share:rolleyes:
