Is this thread a joke?? You guys never heard of wrist straps for that problem?

What ever you do, do not use straps. Deads are great for building grip strength. Without a good grip your other lifts will suffer. Just get some chalk and work up your grip. I promise in the end it will be worth it.

I had the exact same problem. Once I got rid of the gloves, and started using some chalk, problem solved. Personally, I don't like straps for anything, so I was happy the chalk fixed things. Also, if you are doing a lot of work for your forearms now, cut it out. Deadlifts alone work great for your forearms and grip. Maybe it's just too much work for them.

Never work on forearms indirectly. I'll buy some chalk I guess, know a good place I can get it from?

Thanks bro.

Where do you live? There are a lot of sporting goods stores that sell it as it used for gymnastics too. You can also buy it at rock climbing stores. Some supplement stores sell it as well. If you have no stores near you can order it online.

Crutch? I see it as an aid. My grip can NEVER be strong enough to handle the poundages I lift. Even for shrugs.

On shrugs is one thing, but on deads when you are using a mixed grip, there is no way you can lift more then you could build your grip to handle. There are people who do 700+ without straps. There are plenty of people on this board who can 400,500,600 and even more with out straps, so don't say your grip cant be strong enough to handle your poundages.
