grilled chicken, roasted asparagus, yummy! looking GOOD girl! where do you get the low carb skim milk? i don't see hood's carb countdown milk anymore, but i thought it was related to the atkins bankruptcy thing.

Really? Wow...I didn't even know that. I get mine from a local gourmet store. It's skim milk with enzymes added to decrease the carb count. Hood had cream and other additives, but this is just skim milk and enzymes.

I need to find out about this atkins bankruptcy thing!

I'm actually taking a class today. Work... :worried: I need some cardio and I need it now.

One of my coworkers got so fed up that he started slamming his keyboard against his desk over and over again. :lmao: At some point, I slid out of my chair, onto the floor, and under my desk.

MONTH END CLOSING SUCKS ELEPHANT NUTS!

Cardio...must do cardio...must do cardio to release frustrations from 'tarded customers...

I'm a software engineer...but not for long. 12 more days of nagging customers, 3 AM support calls, and an application that does little more than make my hair fall out.

:elephant: :elephant: :elephant:

I start my business analyst job on the 16. I can't friggin' wait!

Hey, that's what I'm doing right now. I think you'll like it! You will still have nagging end-users and clients, but no 3am support calls. Bet you can't wait for the change! :)

VERY cool, Rooney! How do you like doing BA work? Is it technical BA work or something else? We have business analysts in IT and Finance, but I'm not sure of other departments.

Ice...ummm...pictures? :faint: I don't know. I need to drop a ton of bodyfat...probably another 10% I'm sitting at about 22% right now.

Yesterday's cardio was goooood! I felt 1000x times better once I finished it.

Today is going to be another one of those days at work. :worried: Fun, fun. At least I get to lift tonight!

BA work has been good to me and yes, it's technical. I'm an IT consultant and am on assignment with a large financial company now. What I like most is the regular work hours - 40hrs/wk, 9:30am-5:30pm and nothing more! :D

Btw, what is bulgarian yogurt and where do you get it? Is it anything like Greek yogurt?

Bulgarian yogurt is all natural yogurt. Just milk and the cultures to make the curdles. It's quite good! Whole foods should have it. It's in a glass jar. There is low fat and fat free. The fat free has a blue and pink label.

How long have you been doing BA work? I am going to have a million and one questions for you now!

Scorp, FINE! Tuesday AM I will post 22% bodyfat pics. You have to post 23% bodyfat pics then, too! ;)

Same goes for you, Wonderwoman! :qt: I drink at least a gallon of water a day, sometimes more. Accutane really dries you out, so I keep the water consumption as high as possible.

Can you please post the macros for the Bulgarian yogurt when you get a chance? I will have to take a jaunt to Whole Foods again soon.

I've been doing BA work for over 9 years, so ask away. I tend to switch around between that and project management/tech lead roles. By the way, you may want to check out www.iiba.com - Int'l Inst. of BA's. They have some good info on their site and their candidate handbook is worthy of downloading.

Bulgarian yogurt macros are exactly that of skim milk. The cultures don't add any calories. 80 calories, 12g carbs, 8g protein. :) It's quite tangy, but I like it. Really good with cottage cheese, oats, and berries!

Thanks for the site! I'll be checking that out.

What have I gotten myself into with you, Miss Scorpio...?

CK, I am still looking for these photos! I haven't found them quite yet...

POST!!

Wait wait wait! I said TUESDAY!

Depending on how I look/feel, I will post them earlier. We shall see. :qt:

Work has been KILLING me. Yesterday, I was up at 4 AM and I worked until 5 PM. That's not to mention being paged at midnight to work. Today, I was up at 1:45 AM to work for a couple of hours then again at 7:30 to work. Still working...but I'm toast! I might head to the gym in a bit to do some cardio or I will go for a long jog tonight. I need to clear my head and I think a jog will do me well. :)

Jog for me too! and stop working so much, do you have to work tomorrow?

I wish I could stop working so much! Now, all I need is a big cup of :coffee: to wake me up. I am seriously draggin' azz right now, but that's okay. And yes, CK...I have to work tonight. And tomorrow night. And Sunday night. I am WAY too good to my customers!

My sister is going to prom tonight so I have a decision to make. Either I go for a run at 3 or 4 when it is JOHN BLAZE outside or I go for a run at the gym. Her date is coming to the house at 6, so I have to be there prior to that time. What do you ladies think? Run outside in the heat or head to the gym? I'm torn.

I would run outside, but then I always pick the outdoors than the gym. also it depends on how far away the gym is and how busy it will be

Same here! It's nice to see another member who likes to be outside...ahhhh, fresh city smog. ;)

The gym is pretty close but I absolutely love to be outdoors. Even if it is in the city, a run on the sidewalk is so much more interesting than the darn dreadmill!

Run....eh.....NO! I'm jealous of all you people who can run distances....I just can't do it.

Outside is beautiful, but then you're 10-20 degrees HOTTER than we are up here. Only about 70 today in the Northeast. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I agree totally, I get so bored on treadmills, they suck but they do in a pinch. Something so much more gratifing when you choose a destination outside and you make it!

OH hands down...running outside is MUCHO better then indoors on the treadmill...I get way TOO bored. When I am forced to be on a treadmill, I HAVE to do Intervals to keep my mind occupied!! :P

Go on, you can do it!

Sorry to hear about your job - that sucks about the long hours - still not long to freedom! :)

So I ended up doing alpha cardio indoors afterall. It was fun!

Diet has been iffy all weekend. Busy and didn't eat enough or was stuck out elsewhere and made bad choices. Oh well...

I was supposed to work last night...and fully intended to do so, but the power went out at 2 AM. Power was out on my block from 2 AM to 2 PM. Lots of food trashed due to that. I went to the gym with high hopes that the power would be on when I got back at roughly 10:30, but to no avail. I had to run to my parents' place to shower and get ready for the day.

I went out to what was meant to be a lunch date and ended up spending 7 hours with the guy. Hanging with him made a terrible day get MUCH better. :qt:

Ok so...stupid question, but what is alpha cardio...I am intrigued by the sound of it.

:velvett: You better watch that diet girl, we are in this together...

I am sorry to hear about your power - that SUCKS!! Spoiled food = not good! ;)

Dang girl - a 7 hour lunch date...NICE JOB!! :elephant: Is there a second "date" soon??

AWESOME!!!!!! I need one of those days... I like just hanging... What did you do? Or shouldn't I ask?

Alpha cardio is a modified HIIT session. So, you crank the treadmill up to a high incline and do sprints as hard as you can for 20 seconds. I run for 20 sec and rest for ~1 minute. I just step off on the side of the treadmill. When it's time to run again, I take off! Once you finish 20 minutes of that, you go straight into a moderate cardio session for ~35 minutes. It's killer!

I :velvett: myself this AM. I had a scoop of whey and some pineapple and went for a session with the spinning nazi. She kicked my butt! I was soaked from head to toe by the time I was done.

A second date...I sure hope so! He said that he didn't think that he could wait until the weekend, so that I needed to have my schedule open for something one day during the week. ;)

CK, I don't know if there is love or not quite yet...but this guy is VERY much what I want. We will see! :twirl:

:lmao: Treil! Not quite. I think I could really like this one, so I am going to be a good girl. :verygood:

Thanks for explaining that Fly! I do something similar...but I incline walk 4 min and then sprint for 1 and repeat for 30-40 min. I will have to try it your way; it sounds like a lot FUN and rough!! :qt:

Glad to see that I didn't have to bust out the whip on ya, you already did it yourself - I LIKE it!!! :verygood:

This guy sounds promising...keep us informed on date TWO!! (we will all be waiting in suspense!!)

Depletion Day 1

5:30 AM: 37 minutes cardio

7 minute warmup
20 minutes alpha cardio - 20 seconds @ 9% grade/9 mph, 90 seconds rest
10 minutes elliptical

Nearly puked!

7:30 AM: skim milk powder, coffee, spinach and mushroom quiche :p
11:30 AM: thai chicken salad, 1 oz raw mixed nuts
3:00 PM: spinach and mushroom quiche, avocado

I added in stats for alpha cardio so that those who want to do it have a sort of gauge of what to do. I am not much of a runner, but that's what I do.

My fingers are crossed, Scorpio! I'll have to find a way to keep up with him...he's nonstop!

Try that alpha cardio, Wonderwoman. It's not right until you feel like you are going to fly off the treadmill and you are going to puke.

Treil...:eek2: What is going on with these guys just flipping it on you? Do you not at all want to be with them like that?

I'll definitely keep you informed of date two. :qt: Let me know how you like alpha cardio!

I'd like to think so, Rooney! :qt:

I'm not saying that... I'm saying that they don't necessarily want a relationship just all the benefits of a relationship with no strings... I don't think so. That is a free license to have sex with whoever.... Ummm No
I'm a one person kind. So who knows... I think it's in my cards to be forever single. Which is fine... O.k. no it's not because I want sex, I want sex, I want more sex.... but with one person

I know what you mean. I'm not into that at all either. I refuse to take that step until I am with someone for certain. There are enough smutty women in the world that they don't need me to add to their population. Funny how guys want "nice girls," yet want them to behave like skanks.

WORD!!
They want them to be all sweet and act like they are innocent and that they would never give it up but to only one... and within a few dates they expect some action. When you don't you don't hear back from them... It's great! I really hope your guy is not like that. I mean after all he stuck around for 7 hours, and just couldn't wait till the weekend to see ya again... It looks like you already have him wrapped around your pinky darling ;)

No pics this AM, ladies. I have been working for almost 7 hours and it's just 9 AM. Pics are the last thing on my mind right now. :worried: Same thing is planned for tonight, but I hope to be able to have the pics then. I think I'll be able to go back to bed after tonight's 1 AM conference call. This has to be a test...it's got to be...

Current challenge: making the nerve under my left eye stop jumping.

Yep, WW...I make my own quiche. It's more like a spinach pie because of the volume of veggies I am supposed to eat.

12 egg whites
1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
8 oz sliced mushrooms
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 cup fat free mozarella

Preheat oven to 350 degress. Sautee the garlic and mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper Allow to cool. Scramble the egg whites and mix in the spinach. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cooled mushrooms and mozarella to the egg mixture. Bake until center is set.

I have no idea how long it takes for it to cook. I just start mixing stuff up in the kitchen. I have a hard time answering people when they ask what I cook because...well...I cook whatever comes to mind.

I was watching the food network Sunday and they were making this. It needs to be tweaked a little as far as substitutions and filling ingredients, but looks ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!!!! Thought you might like it.

Depletion Day 2sort of...

I don't recall my meal times. Today was...interesting.

Meal 1: spinach and mushroom quiche, walnuts
Meal 2: fat free cottage cheese, walnuts
Meal 3: grilled chicken tenders, celery
Meal 4: bulgarian yogurt, whey, pineapples

1 hour spinning

Meal 5: bulgarian yogurt, whey, peach
Meal 6: fat free cottage cheese, walnuts

I have another long one ahead of me. I have a conference call in an hour and the afterwork to fix what we plan to break. Damn Microsft patches...

I will have pulled a 24 hour shift at work once tonight is complete! :supercool

Well...I slept maybe an hour last night before I got called again. YAY for stupid people at work! ;)

I will be fine. I am working from home again today. I don't plan on doing too much as far as work is concerned, though.

Wow I just hopped over to Scorps log and saw you said you posted pics... Didn't think to click on this before!!! That's my Fly girl! Your quads looks good! Definitely see the Lateralis which I'm working desperately on getting!!

Thanks ladies. I have a very long way to go. My upperbody loses fat last, which is frustrating. I will keep at it, though. Those pictures definitely motivated me to work harder and eat clean.

Nice pics, FBC....quads are looking good which is to be expected with the stepmill and spinning workouts alongside with those heavy weights you push.

I hope you get some rest soon. Your work schedule sounds crazy right now.

You know it! ;)

I feel like such a dork today because of this. I have NEVER had anyone be this sweet to me. All of my exes have been farktards. This is new to me, so that's why I'm all goofy and crap.

I hate to quote Martha Stewart but it was the first thing that came into my mind "It's a Good Thing". You can hit me over the head with a dumbell now! :)

Well enjoy every minute of it!!!!!! Believe me that feeling doesn't come around to often!

I have been terribly lazy about logging workout and diet.

Yesterday, I did a maintanence workout. Considering the sleep that I got, it was pretty good.

Leg Press
working sets @ 290 lbs + sled

Incline BB Press
working sets @ 75 lbs  stupid shoulder

Cable Rows to Neck
working sets @ #12 plate

Wide Grip Dips
working sets @ 20 lbs assistance

Romanian Deadlift
working sets @ 145 lbs

Reverse CGBP
working sets @ 65 lbs

DB Hammer Curl
working sets up to 30 lb DBs

Then I did 35 minutes of kickboxing in the evening at the gym.

Today's Nutrition:

5:30 AM: egg whites, fat free cheese, mushrooms
9:00 AM: fat free cottage cheese, walnuts
11:30 AM: raw mixed nuts
3:00 PM: grilled chicken tenders, broccoli, celery

Still deciding what to do here...maybe go for a jog? The weather here is gorgeous.

6:00 PM: whey, brown rice cake
9:00 PM: grilled chicken tenders, broccoli

I think I tweaked it about a year ago doing barbell complexes. The complex that I was doing was a clean, front squat, push press, behind the neck press down, back squat, then behind the neck press up.

It's slowly getting better. It has it's days, though!

Ice and heat, maybe?? or better yet a massage, especially with all the work you have been doing! You and your new honey should go for one together! :)

I have the same problem....GRRRRRRRRRRRR....makes me MAD!!! lol Was is a minor car accident when I was 24. Doc wanted me to do PT and I wouldn't do it (at that age I had the "invincible" complex). Only bugs me when I'm training.....

So your head's in the clouds huh?!?!?!? Ahhh the euphoria of "new"! I hope he continues to treat you well and I hope you are a very happy girl (couple)!
