What a weekend... :qt:

Friday was awesome...I don't even know what else to say. Somehow, our conservatively timed dates turn into LOOONG drawn out ones. He didn't leave until Saturday afternoon. :verygood: I was good...just as I have promised to be.

Friday was a cooking class together. Then off to hang with his friends. He came over and we talked for HOURS and fell asleep on the sofa. Woke up the next AM and talked more until we both got too hungry to stay at home any longer. Much fun...still floating on cloud 9000.

Things have been going great with nutrition and training. I'll be starting a new cycle soon with my trainer. Less strict to deal with my changing responsibilities. I'll be posting it up as soon as things are structured.

Since this is a training log...

5:30 AM: whole egg, egg whites, fat free cheese
9:00 AM: turkey and veggie chili, fat free cheese
1:00 PM: asian chicken salad :p
4:00 PM: bulgarian yogurt, whey

The asian chicken salad is SO good. I just used organic field greens for the salad, but the dressing is garlic, ginger, a couple of drops of sesame oil, a bit of olive oil, lime juice, and soy.

I marinate the chicken in garlic, ginger, soy, and red pepper flakes. Then I sear it in a pan to get it nice and crusty and brown and finish it off in a 350 degree oven. That makes the juiciest chicken...yum!

That asian salad sounds YUMMY!! You are looking good girl!

How are your workouts going? Energy levels? Are you doing a carb cycle or just eating clean?

How is the work situation? You start your new job soon, don't you?

Glad to hear the boyfriend thing seems to be working out well

Hmmmm...it depends on the age.

In general, I am more attracted to white guys. Not sure why. I haven't always been that way either. I used to like the most ghetto, thuggish, hardcore black guys.

Then...I just changed. I think it was my surroundings that made a difference. I've never not been attracted to other races, but my preferences have definitely changed. New guy is just my style. 6', muscular, dark hair, and the craziest blue eyes ever...

White with blue eyes I'm assuming? My style has kinda changed also... I'm attracted to the black, ghetto thugs out of Detroit :FRlol: :FRlol: Kidding...
Though I normally am attracted to white guys' there are a few black guys' that made me think. I have one I work with right now who is an ex-marine and he always talks about going out on dates and wanting to get to know me. He says I'm secretive.... Like he can't figure me out and wants to try too. I just laugh... Tell him I'm at work and I'm professional at work. I'm not sure how much longer till he throws the question out there. He actually jokingly asked me that one time and I looked at him like, "hu?" So I think he's scared to even ask. From what I hear though he is a player... So I think not.
What does your parents think about you dating a white guy? I think at this point my dad just would not care. As long as I am happy I think he would be happy. He's the one pushing me to date.... Always asking me, "any potential lately??" He was raised prejudice, but I think even my grandparents have laxed on that. I mean I was never close to them so I dunno what they think. I haven't went to visit them in quite some years'. My dad isn't and I think that is due to my mother who showed him that color is just a color.
I'm glad for her teachings'!

I almost spit out my food when I read that!

Players... Too bad you aren't up for giving someone a brain fark because you could truly do it with a guy like that considering how he already thinks you are secretive...

What does your parents think about you dating a white guy?
My mom knows full well that I like white guys. She knows that this guy is white and could care less. My dad doesn't care either. They both feel like color doesn't matter as long as the guy is respectful and is making me happy.

My grandparent's don't care either. I've talked with my grandmother about it and she feels the same way my parents do.

My dad isn't and I think that is due to my mother who showed him that color is just a color.

THAT is awesome! For your mom to have that kind of effect on your dad...:) It's not easy to break ignorance of that sort. She is awesome...

Do you think that you'd be on the receiving end of adversity in your area if you dated a black guy?

That, for some reason, makes me think of Goldilocks... "And this one is JUSSSSSTT right." I just thought it was cute. :qt: I'm glad you're so happy with your honey.

I am AMAZED and how hard you work at the gym. That's just so damn cool. I like being on elite (just don't tell Ulter... hahaha) ;)

Yes, SG...I'm all :google: :luxlove: I haven't felt this way ever...me likey.

Hi T-Cake! :wavey: I've been lurking in your journal since you started it. hehe I will have to actually post soon.

I may start posting more details of my workout, too. I've been very vague about it lately...but since things are different now, I may start posting rep ranges and rest between sets.

Most people in my neighborhood are mixed couples. My neighbors next door are and they have the cutest kids! Actually pretty normal where I live...
Again like you said... it's how they treat you that matters!

I have conjured up some crap in my mind that I want to cook...gotta see if he is up for the challenge! I am thinking an onion and pancetta pizza with a hazelnut mocha torte glazed with chocolate ganache for dessert. ;) I found a recipe for the pizza but the torte is just some crap that I made up on my own after putting some ideas together. We will see...

We refer to this as "golf" on the WeightWatcher board. Makes for some dirty, stupid analogies. :D Have you been playing a few rounds, fly? Front 9 or the back?

Here let me do that for you: :splat: Stupid T-Cake.

I know the overtrained feeling to the point where ya' can't sleep! I was experiencing that last month -- oh, that's the WORST! Well... at least you have a play mate to wear you out. ;)

Well now! ;)

Diet is wacky today. Clean, just all over the place. Lifting full body today. It will be about an hour session. Short but intense! Then off to the honey's place for the evening.

I feel ya' on the overtrained feeling! I took 4 days off & going back tonight.

I miss ya girl.. Cloud 9000 SOOOO happy to hear! The guy I was dating decided that we can't go on a date 4 because that means a relationship???? What???? Yeah I was really hoping on date 5 I would get a 4 Karat.... Damn... Out again....

Treilin said:

A combination, I suppose.

I haven't been eating enough fiber, which kills me. Then again...I haven't been eating enough either.

Lack of sleep...maybe. My stupidity is to blame for that though(YAY! for not knowing when I have to work! )

New man...definitely part of it. I rush to get things together to either go to his place or for him to come to mine. He's very understanding of this lifestyle as he is in it as well.

I really did a terrible job of planning this week because of the misunderstanding at work. My food is not bad at all, just not up to my standards.I'll be MUCH better prepared tomorrow and I can tighten today up. I'm not going to have that wrap today and will have whey and skim milk instead. And I'll change my 9:30 meal as well.

Things will be TONS better once I get my new program from my trainer!

I know you don't wanna, but if the situation doesn't improve, please do consider going to the doctor and getting some bloodwork done. I don't want to sound like your mom, but it's better to find out if anything is amiss sooner than later. Just lookin' out for ya, girl....

sound like her mom, and I will too, trust me and her. You know when things aren't quite right and leaving them can make them worse, you know I know what I am talking about!

^^ I'll join the mother bandwagon.....

But also remember that you've just changed job, got a new man - pretty hardcore life events that can mess up your body with lack of sleep, routines etc. Our bodies are strong but fragile at the same time. Those were some heavy lifts - maybe drop it back, just do some cardio, but eat well. And breathe. And smile ;) It's all good :)

But, if you know that something is not quite right after all that, then go to the doctor. Please.

Nothin' but love Fly  :rose:

I think it's just a transitional period and then obviously you stressing because you are lacking sleep, not hitting the weights the same, and the diet being off. Once it settles back in you will be fine.

I ended up doing 40 minutes of alpha cardio yesterday. 60 minutes and I would have died! Nearly puked during the first 15 minutes. ;)

You ladies are amazing. I don't even know a better way to say it.

So, I will see how things go for a couple of weeks then assess whether or not I need to see a doctor. If I do still feel run down, I will definitely get myself checked out.

I ended up getting 7 hours of sleep last night. :garza: I haven't had that much rest in weeks! I felt a TON better as far as energy was concerned this AM.

I am also taking vacation tomorrow, so I will have a much needed 5 day weekend. I plan on relaxing as much as possible.

ewww.....i get that twitchy eye thing too!!! What is that about?
It's embarassing because it always happens when I'm in conversation w/ someone and I know they can see it, so I have to point it out so they're not like staring at it.........weird.

My CHIN was twitching the other day. First time for everything, I guess....WTF does THAT mean?

FINALLY...back to normal.

It's been NUTSO here. Lots of fun, just very busy.

Got my new program from my trainer and it looks like fun! I think I will lift 2x this week. All full body stuff. I might look into starting the same program that Ice was doing...Madcow's 5x5 program. I'll probably start it next week once I get that all sorted out. The honey wants to start training together, so I'll see how he feels about the program.

I can start posting more training details now that I will be making my program and not my trainer. I'll still post diet details, just not too specific. The new diet looks fun!

The honey, eh :) Mmmmmmmmmmmm Fly caught one ;)
That could be good or bad working out together. I've had both cases.
Hopefully it will be a good one for you!!! Any fun adventures over the weekend??

We won't train together all of the time. He likes to lift in the AM. I like to lift in the PM. And since we live so far away from each other, it's not much of an option to do it on a regular basis.

LOTS of fun adventures over the weekend. *cough*skinnydipping*cough*
