First Try Git Big Diet

Hey guys. I did some reading and came up with this diet. I don't know the amounts yet, but I would just like to know if the foods are okay. Then after I buy them I'll check the nutrition facts and figure it out.
5'10". 140 lbs. 18 yrs old.

Meal 1: Pro/Carb

Egg Whites
Whey shake in 1% Milk
Oats

Meal 2: Pro/Fat

Beef
Vegetables
Flax Oil
String Cheese

Meal 3: Pro/Fat

Tuna w/Mayonnaise
Fish Oil
Vegetables

Meal 4: Pro/Carb

Chicken
Brown Rice
Apple

Meal 5: Pro/Carb

More Whey
Oats
Banana

Meal 6: Pro/Carb

Egg Whites
Brown Rice

Meal 7: Pro/Fat

Eggs
Cottage Cheese
Peanut Butter

I calculated my daily calories to be ~2300. So to gain weight would mean about 2800 so I'm going to shoot for 3000. That ok?

That's more like a cutting diet. 5'10 140 lbs. and 18 years old you should be eating at least 25x your bodyweight in total calories. (3500 for you) Don't get too fancy either. Get plenty of calories in and stick to red meat, whole eggs, and milk as a foundation. And if you feel like throwing some "junk" in there don't be too concerned. If you gain some bodyfat just cut back for a couple weeks. You need to build a solid foundation first. Make sure to get some protein, carbs and fats with each meal too.

Would this diet be okay as well or would I be wasting my time? I prefer this one it would be much easier for me/
 
Dude at 5 10'' a 140lbs at 18.. You need to be getting a lot more cals in. I would say 4000..... youll grow. You need some mass. Trust me it will be hard to get 4000 CLEAN cals in... but you will be a monster in the gym.
 
Agreed with Cityhick. Isn't that second diet you posted the same as the first? Get rid of the flax replace it with olive/fish oil or walnuts. No 140 lb. male should be eating egg whites. Throw some whole eggs in there. Again at 18 years old you have the opportunity to build some good size if you eat enough total calories and train hard. Most of it won't get stored as fat at your age. (And if it does just cut back) I know women who eat more than that when cutting. Don't get so fancy with the carb/protein meals protein fat meals, just EAT. Keep adding weight to the bar every week and you'll gain some good size in a short amount of time. Good luck.
 
I agree I need to eat a lot as well. I wasn't gonna follow anything at first, but then I ended up skipping meals and stuff so thats why I did all that business up there =/. I came up with 4100 calories a day using the stuff from the second diet so that should be fine right? Thanks for the help.
 
Depends on How much meat and chicken you consume. I think meals 1-6 should have

!)LOTS OF EGGS maybe a patato

2) Lots of Milk and Protien

3) Lots of LEAN beef 1/2 pound if you could do it

4) Lots of Chicken maybe 2 nice sized breast

5) Milk Protien

6) Maybe Tuna more beef or chicken.

Keep it that simple and get 4000+ cals in a day. And you should grow A LOT and still keep most of definition. I am a at 197 at 5 8' and I still eat 3000 cals and will loose bf. I dont know if its because Im 19 or what but my body isnt as sensitive as others. Some people eat a bun on thier hambuger and get fat. I dont have bread with my meat but will have plenty of ketchup and BBQ sauce and still manage to loose fat. Just put on mass bro. Good luck
