First suit

I'm thinking of ging with the Champion as my first suit. I need/want something that both my squat and dead will benefit from. I realize some people have two different suits or just pull in a singlet. Think the Champion is a good choice?

How about Titan's stuff?

Freak19- if you read this, didn't you say you had good success pulling in a Titan?

Thanks fellas.

Champion is perfect fo ryour first suit. You get support but the legs can be moved up so you can drag a bar up your legs. With a z suit my hands hit the spot were the suit leg hits my skin, and its hard to get the bar over that.

Freak squats in a titan and pulls in a champion if i am not mistaken. I cant wait to see him squeeze into his little titan suit to squat in! Cause that bitch aint gonna fit! Too small.

I'm going with the Champion to start me off. Hopefully I'llsee something out of it especially since I suck in the hole when squatting. We'll see.

What do you guys wear under these things? I'll be lifting in the USAPL and they don't allow any supportive gear underneath.

Is spandex ok, or is that supportive? Boxer briefs or something?

I wear regular jockies. Boxer briefs ride up on me and i am always pullign them down. If they allow groove briefs get some heavy duties form inzer. There a good beginner brand. Once you get more experience then move on to some real briefs. But any underwear is good. No free ballin though! No one wants to see that shit! If they do they can go watch a 80's rock band in concert or somehting. Not at a powerlifting meet!

Meant to be funny! I love 80's metal!

I just used my Champion for the first time. I couldn't get the straps up but I used it anyway. I also used knee wraps for the first time. I figured I was going to put 50 lbs on my max. WRONG! I squatted 50 lbs less. Maybe its too small...I think it cut of some of the circulation in my legs.

I received my first suit last Friday. It was the Z. My lifting partner
told me to send it back as it would push my legs together at the
bottom of the squat. I returned it on Saturday and ordered the
double ply champion.

im thinking about getting the titan superior... any one know if its good or not, i've talked to some people, and they recommended it as a good beginner suit..

I tried on the Champion squat suit today. Those things are real comfy (sarcasm noted). Anyway, If you guys remember my other post where I did 2 squat sessions on the Monday of this week and hit a 15 lb PR in each, well I hit anothet 15 lb PR today.

I actually deadifted first. Feels a bit awkward to pull in that thing. I was gonna go conventional, but didn' feel it would help much. S I went sumo.

I pulled 430 like cake. Then I ripped 455 off the floor, it flew up over my knees, but for some reason with the straps up I feel I'm getting pulled forward. So I started to drift forward andjust bailed. Gave it a shot again but I was shot and no go. I feel good for that 455 once I'm used to it though because it flew up and grip was absolutely no issue.

So then I squatted. Hit 315x2 with no knee wraps. Then wrapped up and hit 365. 15 lb PR. I felt myself pull a little bit of a Goggins on the way up though(half-goodmorning), so I wanted to do another single and drive back this time. Since it is such a pain with all the equipment to get ready for the set, I didn't want to do the same weight so I just upped it to 370, but missed.

So I hit my third squat PR for the week. I know, I'm a dumbass. Next week I start my new program and no more maxing the big three until I get to my meet in 7 weeks. I'll have some will power until then.

Going to shoot for a goal of 1,100@148 at the meet if my training goes well. We'll see.

Awesome lifting! Continue to hit those PR's and you will post some huge numbers at your next meet. The Champion suit should be perfect for you. I have a Champion that I squat & deadlift with. Good luck!
