My calves are not good. Definately one of my weekest bodyparts. But, i think that is because for the last several years i have been doing them wrong.

When i was first show how to lift, i was told to keep all the weight on the ball of my foot for calve raises and concentrate on gonig strait up and down. Well, generally that would just make my feet hurt and i never got a good pump.

But the other night i was a lazy, and while doing calve raises, i let the weight roll to the outer side of my foot, and i let my heels drift out to the side on the way up. Well, let me just say, the pump i got from this was instantaneous and my calves were sore for 4 days following. I tried it again last night with this new form and it was fantastic.

I dont know if this is bad form, or if it has something to do with the fact that my feet are super flat [no arche], but i know that i think after 5 years, i have finally figured out how to properly do a calve raise!

Sad that its taken me this long. BUT, i think i am ready to put some size on them , turn those little calves into beefy cows!
