Well its been over 8 years since I have done them. The other day I hit back, alone....

Dumbell rows..3 sets 12 w/ 100's( all I have for wieght )
Deads ...3 sets 225/12 275/12 315/10
Shrugs... 3 sets 225/15 315/15 375/10
Pull downs to front..3 sets 165/10 195/10 205/8 drop set 175/10

I was really experimenting w/ deads. I wasnt sure how low the knees should bend when beginning the lift. I would go all the way down w/ an alt grip, look forward, lift w/ my legs while keeping my back straight not arched. At the top of the movement I would stick my chest out slightly. During the lift I would follow the plain of my shins. Does this sound correct??????

How low you sink your knees depends on how long your arms are. I bend down and grip the bar, my arms are straight, then I sink only another inch or so, then pull up. Sometimes I don't even sink the extra inch.

Make sure to keep your eyes rising to the ceiling. Your body will follow your eyes. If you do that, I find that the position of my back and legs is good and sound.

Works for me too.

Ok, so it seems as if I am on the right track. At the top of the movement is it necessary to push shoulders back and chest out. This is what I was taught many years ago. Just want to make sure Im not over complicating things.

I pull my shoulders back slightly at the top, but it's not a real exagerrated thing. Just keep pulling through with your hips until you're standing completely erect.

erect is good...

I DL sumo but I think this is applicable to both styles...I try to visual spreading the floor with my feet on the way up. I keep my back real tight as well as my abs drawn in. When I lock out, I push my hips forward.

Does this sound right?

Just noticed your signature slobberknocker! I only speak the truth! ;)
