Fatkins Diet

I hate the fatkins diet!!! Have you ever so much bull shit as I CAN EAT ALL THE FRIED FOOD, BURGERS AND BACON I WANT!!! but I CANT HAVE AN APPLE BECAUSE IT HAS CARBS!!! COMPLETE BULLSHIT!!! Sorry for the rant...had to get that out....anybody else who wants to rant...feel free ;)

Sorry, but while you can debate all you want on whether its healthy or not, I know for a fact you can drop a ton of weight on it. And I think thats the point of it, not a healthy lifestyle, but a weight solution for those in need of a dire change.

I AGREE!!! That is sooooo funny! Everyone is on the Atkins diet. Eating all the cheese, heavy creams, fatty meats, and carb free icecream they want. I was drinking a V8 and got heckled by my friends they were shocked I would drink that, because it was too high in carbs.

Granted it's high in sodium, but my BP is fine! Atkins is making me CRAZY!

Hi guys, first time at these forums...

I disagree with eating as much as fat or protein as you want theory, I think this idea is what's hurting his whole diet, even though many people have jumped on board, they will jump off when so called experts start scarring everyone about heart disease and other health problems. I had the opportuniy to listen to his audio files, and that was the toughest part for me to swallow was the creams.

I am no expert, since I get my info from so called other experts that have been "wrong" before. So it's hard to say anything these days. I do agree with the idea of not eating manmade/processed foods.

I am gonna buy some land with next home, and just start growing my own food, that is the only way I will know how it's been processed...

My thing w/ the Atkins Diet is that its a solution in a box. Yes it does kick start those who have to lose weight. I know a number of people who have been successful with it. But so many people think its "the solution" and forget that they need to adopt a healthy lifestyle, not just a "diet", in order to maintain. I totally don't believe that Atkins is a healthy long term way to eat - sure you lose the weight, but then you die from clogged arteries. At least you can save on not having to supersize the coffin. (OK, slight exaggeration.) I simply hope that those who follow it also learn the reason why they are losing the weight and the reason they need to ease back to a "maintenance" level of carbs, and that just because the diet says you can pound butter, bacon & cream, it really isn't a good practice. And BTW, some exercise might help along the way.

But, man I still fall over laughing when I see this link! :lmao:

The problem with 'fatkins' is that so many people who say they are on it really aren't. It requires a lot of water drinking and it also requires excircies.

Nonetheless, even those I know who are attempting it are probably going to live a lot longer than they would otherwise.

Sort of like the high intensity versus low intensity cardio for losing fat. Not everyone has the discipline and pain tolerance to do high. So they do low.

Most people will simply do what they really need to do, so they do Atkins.
