Does lifting to heavy put to much stress on the bones?

I read a few things and lifting to heavy will put more stress on the bones perhaps causing then to stunt, is this true? I am not tall, 5'4 shortest out of my friends most likely, my mom is italian and my dad is irish. I am as tall as my uncle and taller then my mom. My dad is 5'8 so its to be expected. But I don't want to stay 5'4 would like to get 5'7, 5'8, don't want to stop now just to hit PR's. Anyone know?

I bench 215
Deadlift 225 for 4
Squat probably 225 or so for 1

I was gonna do a bulking cycle and try and add some muscle. I will post some pics later for feedback. If I can get some up.

This seems ridiculous!! Your height is determined by your genetics. Weight training is good for the bones and it strengthens them and builds density.

Not saying I agree, i've heard it doesn't and I've heard it does. Some say don't go heavy till you get a growth spurt , but I don't think I've had one yet.

I am not angry that I am short, some people are delt the short end of the stick. No one makes fun of me, its just a complex I have. More muscle you got while short, the bigger you look. : ) I was just curious if what I've read hold true, does anyone know?

with proper form, i dont see how it could.

unless you were about to squat 328959 pounds and jumped up and down for about a minute. that might make you a little shorter.

i dont care if i get taller or not. the shorter you are, the fuller you look, at first.

i'm only 5'9
