Do you know the recipe for perfectly boiled eggs?

I have boiled so many thousands of eggs in my life, I never really pay attention to what I'm doing. Yes ladies, I'm a wild man.

The recipe for a perfectly boiled egg that I got from Emeril Lagasse is to boil the eggs for two minutes, then remove from heat and cover for 11 minutes, then immediately submerge them in cold water.

i just had a hard boiled egg and a cappucchino. and yes, i'm going to brush my teeth afterwards.

I do something very similar, the only difference is as soon as they hit boil I take them off the fire, THEN set the kitchen timer for 10 minutes.

Saves energy :lmao:

I do egg-zack-ly the same thing. :)

i can eat scrambled eggs, sunny side up, but i HATE the yolk of a hard boiled egg. I don't know why it just grosses me out. I've never eaten deviled eggs for that reason obviously and for the fact i HATE mustard!!!

I do. Put eggs into pot cover with COLD water. Put on stove. When water BEGINS to boil, count 10 minutes and remove from stove. Submerge eggs immediately into cold water until they are cool. Peel and eat :) They come out perfect every time. My yolks look fantastic - no green, perfectly yellow throughout. If you see green in or around your yolks at all, they are over cooked :(

:Chef:

7 minutes is enough for my large ones.
