Do you know the recipe for perfectly boiled eggs?

I do. Put eggs into pot cover with COLD water. Put on stove. When water BEGINS to boil, count 10 minutes and remove from stove. Submerge eggs immediately into cold water until they are cool. Peel and eat :) They come out perfect every time. My yolks look fantastic - no green, perfectly yellow throughout. If you see green in or around your yolks at all, they are over cooked :(

I do something very similar, the only difference is as soon as they hit boil I take them off the fire, THEN set the kitchen timer for 10 minutes.

Saves energy :lmao:

I do that too and since I throw the yolks out, the color doesn't matter to me...

Try putting them in cold water, turning the stove on, and forgetting about them until the water is gone.

It doesn't smell good, trust me. :(

thats exactly how i do it.
i saw some chef say that you should put them in cold water, bring the water to a boil, then turn the water off and let them sit there for like 20 minutes or something, but i like my (your) way better. plus, its faster.
